[DIY] [Maemo 5] Tech demo of Starcraft engine
Just so no one is disappointed after going to the effort, here's the feature list for stargus.

Edit (2010/3/8): After consultation with the original poster of this thread, i have decided to post the instructions in the wiki. This is to reflect my desire to keep the useful information he shared, while respecting his weariness of the thankless hordes of children and other immature individuals hounding him for help with getting it to work. Here are the instructions. I am not supporting this; don't contact me to ask for help. Don't contact the original poster to ask for help. You can see this as a DIY project if you like. Good luck, have fun! |

http://sourceforge.net/projects/stargus/ It's hard to get people to rally around a dev project that will always require users to extract their commercially-purchased content to be able to play. Gotta give credit to the OP for going to the effort to make a video and prepare installation instructions for a game he's never played. Hehe psst...you gotta build an extractor before you can harvest vespene. ;) |
Re: maemo Games: Starcraft for N900

Re: maemo Games: Starcraft for N900
Wow, that's great! Doom and Starcraft were my most favorite games. And about 15 years ago I myself had a hobby of reverse-engineering and porting old games, so I know how hard it can be... Kudos to everyone involved!

Re: maemo Games: Starcraft for N900
This is great, one of my favorite games of all time! I just have one question which may be a stupid one, but how do i hide the top bar during the game? I can't find it in the settings, and it's preventing me from seeing the bottom part of the map in the game.

Re: maemo Games: Starcraft for N900
Read the feature list on the second post. This is not a completed Starcraft engine, it's just partial. It isn't likely to be finished ever.
