What do you do with your old Nokia?
Prior to owning an N900, I've been using my N95. Up until today, Ovi maps on the n900 was unusable. Thus, I've always kept my n95 in my car, in case I needed GPS navigation. But now that GPS navigation is "usable" on my n900 (because of PR1.1), I have no more uses for my N95.
Can you guys think of any possible uses? I thought of maybe just using it as a standalone skype phone by installing Fring. Or perhaps there's some use cases with joikuspot. |
Re: What do you do with your old Nokia?
mazuma will give you a decent price for it!

Re: What do you do with your old Nokia?
Or you could sell and get some money from it. xD
I also had a N95-1 before the N900, I gave that phone to my dad because he has an E65 and I think my phone is better than his.. ;) |
Re: What do you do with your old Nokia?
I usually give it to someone as the phones are usually still quite new

Re: What do you do with your old Nokia?
Use it as a back up :) Prior to my n900 i have a n95-2. When i had my n95 it was my only phone and when the flex cable went out on me i have no back up phone to use which sucks. So now my n95 is my back up phone just in case if something happens to my n900. i still think it's the greatest phone in its era :D

Re: What do you do with your old Nokia?
I bought the N97 a couple of months ago and I hate it so much. Before the N97 I had the N95 8gb and the N95. Both were very good.
My wife needed a new phone, but I couldn't give her the N97. It's too buggy and slow. |
Re: What do you do with your old Nokia?
Put the sim card from work in it, and ditch the ghastly bottom-of-the-range candy bar the NHS provides. My n95 is now my work connection phone.

Re: What do you do with your old Nokia?
hmm thanks for the replies.
For now, I'm going to see how well skype works on it and leave it at my Mom's as a standalone skype phone for use over local wifi. |
Re: What do you do with your old Nokia?
I still use it, plain and simple. Mainly since the N900 does not do everything I expect from a € 600 phone in the year 2010.
But, according to the forum mantra, that must be ok, since the N900 is not a phone! :D Regards, Chris. |
Re: What do you do with your old Nokia?
Apparently you can use your N810 as a battery charger for the N900! I am sending for batteries to try this out.

Re: What do you do with your old Nokia?
Gave my 5800 to my younger brother.

Re: What do you do with your old Nokia?
I'll probably carry my N95 8GB around untill most/all people have my new number :)
Nothing I'll miss in it so it'll just collect dust after that just like my other phones...:) |
Re: What do you do with your old Nokia?
I got a Neo Freerunner...

Re: What do you do with your old Nokia?
Keeping the N95-8GB to use on building sites.. sliders are never the same once they've filled with plaster dust..

Re: What do you do with your old Nokia?
Give it to shop class teachers in elementary school so that they can teach kids how not to make phones.

Re: What do you do with your old Nokia?
I use the N810 to browse the web and as a video player because of it's beautiful large screen.
My S60 phone (6110 Navigator) I use - as my phone. The N900 doesn't do half of what I expect. The N900 I use as a toy. And I love it. ;) |
