Is there an app to knock wireless off

Is there an app to allow disabling or enabling the wireless network with just one or two actions much like the 2g to 3g app?

Well, if you're not afraid of the terminal, i think ifup wlan0 / ifdown wlan0 does that

Re: Is there an app to knock wireless off

Control Panel applet works great with temporary solution.

When i'am done with browsing etc,
1 turning off the wifi connection with build in turn off function.
2 Control Panel applet wifi shut off and ON again, no drain leakage after
turning it too original state.

After all i don't need too reboot the device anymore!

ps.Thanks too the maker of Control Panel applet!

Use at your own RISK!!!

Put wifi-switcher_0.0.3_armel.deb in MyDocs with usb storage mode.

Install rootsh

X-terminal

sudo gainroot

cd MyDocs

dpkg -i wifi-switcher_0.0.3_armel.deb

You need to enable extras-testing to see this - version 0.0.5 is available now.

you need to be root for this commands.
just install "rootsh" and type "sudo gainroot" before trying ifup/ifdown ;)

Have you used this? Is it stable and does it really impact on battery life if you dont have the wifi-bug?

it's in Control Panel applet

closing the connection in this program, already do not have to restart the phone in order to extend the life of the battery .. Trying to connect bypassing the program, not even visible wireless networks ...
