Hidden update!
 

Now whilst playing music over fm transmitter, it actually transmits:

"<Artist> / <Album> / <Title>"

instead of just "Nokia"

Penultimately useless feature but still makes me happy :D touches like this make me love my N900 so much more!!

how do u see that btw? do u need a special type of fm reciver?

So we no longer need the RDS app. cool. Less extra apps = better for N900 imo.

Its kinda short and rotates on about 1/3 of my car radio screen (maybe its too big :p)

The 3rd party app has SMS and missed calls, caller ID, etc.

also with the 3rd party app u can specify the size of ur cd players screen.. s m l

Was going to mention this, noticed it on my car the other day and thought for a second I had downloaded the RDS application by accident.
Works well but its pointless on my cars radio as It only shows 1-2 small words at a time.
Glad it was added though.

Well, I know that you can configure the RDS app, but it never worked for me + its kinda awkward to start the QT widgets from the menu.

Yes I noticed this too in my car, but luckily it does scroll through so you can see all info "<Artist> / <Album> / <Title>". One less app to fire up so it's a bonus, now if they get it to display that you've received a text or email then that would be great although it does sound a beep through your stereo.

RDS functionality is not working for me. All I get is either "Nokia" or "RSD" on the radio screen. I installed the RDS plugin too but that did not help in any way.

It came with the PR1.1 update (51-1). Do you have it?
