And once you have onedotzero running... wtf does it actually do? And what do you get from connecting to it with your N900?

P.S. Kudos for posting about this... I'm really curious.

Same here on Windows 7. I see a few frames of colour when I hit escape sometimes, otherwise I just get a blank screen.

Re: Using OneDotZero with N900 and Windows PC over Wifi - DIY

running windows 7 it gives me a black screen.
quick pressing ctrl+alt+delete shows it in the background as windowed program (but fullscreen)
now I can minimize all the other programs, but I can't focus on onedotzero without going back to black screen.
everything works, except the controls on PC (space for recording)
so you can record only with black screen, but the recorded files show everything as if there is everything fine.
any suggestions, how to run this in windowed mode?
running x64 you first have to install the x64 version of jogl.dll and so on.

I'm getting a black screen and the N900 app closes after a few seconds. Sometimes when closing the Windows app I might see a glimpse of the sample text.

What does this error mean:

WARNING. controller with name "toggleFeed" already exists. overwriting reference of existing controller.
exporter: 3.0 tga

Doesn't seem to be downloading all the required files for me.

It closes after about 10 seconds when I open the program.

When I try to run from the commandline with sudo gainroot it mentions a CPU playground that doesn't exist.

I had the same problem earlier. Disabling extras-devel and reinstalling solved it for me.

Re: Using OneDotZero with N900 and Windows PC over Wifi - DIY

How did you re-install the program with devel disabled? Isn't it all sitting in the devel repo?

RipTorn 2010-02-04 04:44

Re: Using OneDotZero with N900 and Windows PC over Wifi - DIY

I've installed in several times from devel but it still closes after about 5 to 10 seconds. I am guessing that some dependency isn't being met so it closes.

Is there a list of dependencies this program needs to work written anywhere?

I tried starting in xterminal and I'm getting errors like "liqbase-playground-cpu-performance: not found", error while loading shared libraries: liblo.so.0" and "/usr/bin/liqbase-playground-cpu-ondemand: not found".

Windows 7 64 bit.
you just have to change the .dll's and do some other stuff :D

This is the exact error I am getting.

I am guessing this is why running from the menu closes after 5 to 10 seconds.

Disable extras-devel, leave testing enabled.

Ahh ok, the one in Devel doesn't work but the one in Testing does.

Didn't think to look in testing at all :)

Ok now the N900 app works but not the Windows app. I have the 64 bit Vista and I downloaded new 64 bit dlls to the bin folder but it's not working yet.

Re: Using OneDotZero with N900 and Windows PC over Wifi - DIY

Fascinating stuff. Unfortunately this isn't working on this Windows 7 RC1 machine, even with compatibility mode set to XP. The java app will run but in a blank screen. I edited the texture size in app.properties as suggested by the project's wiki but without look.

Running it from the command line I alt-tabbed out and saw that it had "got it" all over, as soon as I performed any action on the n900 onedotzero app, which means it's communicating alright. Indeed, upon alt-tabbing back into the program, I could see for a split second the text I had written on the screen.

I'm guessing it's a display issue with the java app.
