Google Voice Web App
It's available on the web:
voice.google.com es, it's not really for the N900 for other competing phones that don't allow Google Voice applications. |
Re: Google Voice Web App
It just directs me to the usual google voice site. Is there a direct link to the html5 iphone/palm version?

Re: Google Voice Web App
*Bump
This is pretty sweet on my nephews itouch. Is there any way to access this from an N810? Any browsers support html5? |
Re: Google Voice Web App
I have also been searching for a way to activate the HTML5 version of Google Voice without success. Any ideas? I saw mention of using the 'HideUserAgent' addon to mask the maemo browser as an iphone, but seems to have been largely unsuccessful.
Any ideas out there? |
Re: Google Voice Web App
The mobile site works for me on my 770's and my 800.

Re: Google Voice Web App
I tried to mask the user agent as well, but if the browser does not support html5 it makes no difference.
EDIT Trin, are you able to access the site that looks like the one being talked about in this article http://blogs.computerworld.com/15481...n_google_voice |
Re: Google Voice Web App
@mrdally204: I replaced MicroB's user agent with iphone's and it loads the page in link you sent. Only problem is the resolution seem to be way off
edit: Wow, I just tried punching in some numbers and hit call and apparently it "forwards" the number to my phone app |
Re: Google Voice Web App
install programs:
DialCentral: http://talk.maemo.org/showthread.php?t=29347 or "The One ring": http://talk.maemo.org/showthread.php...632#post488632 Both was written by same developer and directly work with google voice. I like both of this programs. Edit: Don't forget to press thanks to Epage |
Re: Google Voice Web App
hwong thats fantastic, I'm gonna give that a run. I tried on Tear but did not have success. Can you paste the user agent you are using in here for me and the rest of the community to use.
EDIT MIKHMV I am currently using both but love to try out new things. Epage has done some fantastic work for google voice on maemo! |

Re: Google Voice Web App
Where do you change the user agent and add? Can you send instructions on how to add it.

Re: Google Voice Web App
nokiabuff,
give google a quick search for microb user agent thats what I did as far as the this site goes it appears to be un usable for me. it looks nothing like it did on the iphone unless I'm doing something wrong |
Re: Google Voice Web App
@nokiabuff: there's an app call HideUserAgent in the extras-testing repository. It enables you to change the browser's user agent under settings, that's how websites identifies users and directs them to appropriate sites. Do note this app is in the testing process, and it may still have some problems that can break your device, so do not install it unless you are comfortable with that.
@mrdally204: yea, you are right, it'll goes to settings whenever I try to press '1'. Other than the messed up layout and stuff, it works. I tried calling my brother's cell and it goes through. The part I like about it is you don't have to wait for google voice's call back; it provides you a number to dial and it'll connects directly to the recipient, just like Skype on my n95 |
Re: Google Voice Web App
i cannot wait to get the nexus

Re: Google Voice Web App
Try the dial central app here in devs, it works nicely and bypasses the web need as it brings the info right to your device.
