Application to capture N900 screen activities

Hi,

I would like to know if there are any applications to capture the N900 screen activities just like Camtasia recorder for Windows. It would be very helpful for creating N900 demos :D

Thanks!

Load applet claimed this capability, but I've not checked this since I installed it.

You could try video capture hardware.. not sure how the quality would be.

Hi

I was just playing around with my N900 and I found this. This looks like an inbuilt Screen video capture app ... but when I use it to record ... the recorded video file results in a blank video. See the Screenshot from my N900

Please send me ur comments on this

Look here for video capture hardware quality (Pinnacle, was about 100 €):

Open the videos on YouTube and select 480p resolution there. The embedded videos are downscaled.

Why did Nokia go for something where it is so difficult/unnatural to press!

You don't want to hit this rare-to-use function easily and capture screenshot all the time which does slow down the phone when it's encoding and writing the shot

what about using the video out on the Nokia to an AV input on your PC, and using recording software on there? I use this methood, and it gives great results, and doesnt slow your phone down

Yes, you need a video capture card/device. Not a video card. The former is for video input, the latter is for video output.

If you don't have a dedicated card or device for this, some good handheld video recorders can record PAL and/or NTSC input. Then you can download it to a PC via USB or Firewire. I have an old Canon that does this very well.
