Can someone post a picture of original N900's headphones?
 

I'm asking this because the one i got are completely different than the one that are on the nokia site. There are not even nokia logo on them. They are all black in-ear ordinary headphones. As i can see on nokia's site, there are white parts of the headphones. So please if anyone can take a picture of your headphones and post it here, i would be very thankful.

yeah the ones for the N900 are pretty lame, one length of the headphone wire is waaayy longer than the other. Everybody laughed when i pulled them out. Had to get some Skullcandy!

Yeah, i agree that they are lame. But the reason why one wire is longer than other is because that microphone is close to your mouth so you can speak.

It's kind of strange that many people don't understand why one wire is longer than the other. The long wire goes around the back of the neck and fits in the opposing ear. This means when you take them out - eg when you need to talk to someone - they don't fall to the floor. I actually prefer my headphones to have this design.

I hate these headphones where one side is longer. Unfortunately this design seems to be standard among smartphone headsets. HTC ships the same crappy design with their phones.

Which is what we got. The shot with the other headphones is a mockup, it seems - I can't find anything that looks like them in the nokia store ;)

Honestly, didn't mean to be patronizing but I've read several forums where people were furious because they thought they had been sold dud headphones with wires of different length - should credit those on the Maemo forum with more intelligence ;)

I had the problem, that all other headphones with a micro won't work with the N900 cause of the combine TV-Out and Audio-Out and Audio-In.

You better get normal headphones without a microphone or use a bluetooth-headset.

People who may want to use the 900 for audio when at the gym, on the stationary bike, where other earbud designs have the buds constantly falling out.

I love those headphones, the sound for me is really good, they fit perfectly in my ear and also have noise reduction if you place them correctly.

For any wired headset/headphones with built-in mic:

• if the manufacturer specs say it works with the iPhone, it will not work with the N900
• if the manufacturer specs say it works with the N95, etc., it will work with the N900*

* Except any built-in Play, Pause, Track Skip, etc. buttons will not function

I love how apple screwed up the world of headphones/headsets... everyone else did it Nokia's way; then the iphone came out :(

I always have wire looped over ear, it makes more sense with the J wire design, although my current earphones have symmetrical
