How can I play this Radio Stream on the N900
Does anyone know how I can play this stream on the N900?
http://kvmv.streamon.fm/player/playe...eam=64k&type=1 I haven't been successful adding it to 'Internet Radio' Stations or trying to play it through the browser. Any ideas? |
Re: How can I play this Radio Stream on the N900
Enter the below as the address in Internet Radio:
http://kvmv.streamon.fm/stream/KVMV-64k.mp3 |

Excellent. How did you figure that out?

Re: How can I play this Radio Stream on the N900
Looked at the html (right click -> 'view source') on that link you put up and it had that contained in a sub page.
http://kvmv.streamon.fm/play/KVMV-64k-168-1.html Streams for .ogg and .asf are also there. Might be a good idea to try both of those out as they should play on the N900 (if you have the extra decoders app installed) and should both be better quality than MP3. |

Re: How can I play this Radio Stream on the N900
Sorry to resurrect an older thread, but I haven't been able to find much info on setting up the internet radio on the N900 (using Media Player).
If the radio station uses a PLS file to target its stream, can I add the link to that PLS as the radio bookmark, or do I need to copy the actual stream address? That is, do I create the bookmark with the address ending in ".pls" or do I instead use the IP address that is targeted by the PLS file. The reason I ask is that I've found one station so far that I want to add that has within the PLS file 3 separate addresses. It looks like this: [playlist] numberofentries=3 File1=http://93.89.82.244:8072 Title1=(#1 - 59/1200) NME Radio Length1=-1 File2=http://78.129.196.139:8048 Title2=(#2 - 52/1000) NME Radio Length2=-1 File3=http://94.23.15.54:8048 Title3=(#3 - 678/1000) NME Radio Length3=-1 Version=2 -------- So, do I create a single bookmark using the direct link to the PLS, or can I create the bookmark using just one of the addresses shown above, or do I need to create 3 separate bookmarks? *OR* As an alternative, should I instead use another app altogether, and not Media Player? Thanks! |
Re: How can I play this Radio Stream on the N900
Not sure, but dont think, that you can add .pls file to media player.
The current location of all radio stations are in /home/user/.mafw.db and you can't edit it manually. I think you have to add one link at a time of the streaming url. BTW, what is the full url of the station ? |
Re: How can I play this Radio Stream on the N900
OK...
I played around a little. The 3 streams all play the same thing. I'm guessing that it's a primary stream and then a couple of mirrors as supplements for crowded streams. I just added one as a bookmark and it works fine. |
Re: How can I play this Radio Stream on the N900
Can someone help me as well please, by following this thread I managed to get the link below but it's not working, it says media format not supported, is there anything I can do (I tried alternative links but none of them work). I got the link by looking at the source for this site:http://mediaweb.musicradio.com/playe...t.asp?s=21&e=0.
