Rebooting N900 after second flash

1 Attachment(s)
Hello,

i'll wan't to resolve my "double Folder problem" after installing the softwareupdate for a few weeks ago.

Today i flashed it again like http://wiki.maemo.org/Updating_the_tablet_firmware
I do it over Windows XP.

All went fine, the flasher quits correctly....

The N900 will reboot, the settings for PIN-CODE , Country,Date time etc. will show.

And now, the desktop screen will show for about 10 seconds an then the n900 will reboot again an again and again.......

Who from you could help me to resolve the problem?

The following links i read before i write this post:eek:

Is there a way to put the N900 in delivery status?

All the data can be delete?

I'd suggest flashing again, and doing the eMMC as well.

You'll need to do the eMMC first, then the main firmware. And yes, you'll lose the maps and all other data on the phone (including ringtones) when you flash it. You can try powering the phone off altogether and plugging it in via USB - this should mount it in mass storage mode, allowing you to copy anything you want off. As for reinstalling the maps, you can use the Nokia Map Loader to install/update the maps on the N900 (you need the 3.0.28.0 version, and there's some workarounds needed for Windows 7 and 64-bit Windows).

Hi,

i have done the eMMC flash with the following command under Win7:
flasher-3.5.exe -F RX-51_2009SE_1.2009.41-1.VANILLA_PR_EMMC_MR0_ARM.bin -f -R

The prozess is finished successfully. After rebooting i have the following situation:

1. No GSM a cardsymbol with a red strike is shown
2. My inserted SD-Card will not read / shown in the filemanager

?

Have you reflashed the firmware as well (it needs doing after the eMMC flash)? If so, which firmware did you use?

Now, all works fine up to my SD-Card:confused:

Hello,

I had the same problem after updating from 2.2009.51-1 to 3.2010.02-8.

I followed your advice and got the phone working again by flashing eMMC and 3.2010.02-8.

Thank you!!
