What are your top games for n900?

I only have a few games installed on my n900 including SuperTux, Airport and AngryBirds. Can people here recommend me some good games? What are everyone's top games?

Looks like you already have the full list of games available for n900 :D

Not only games, but also emulators such as VGB/VGBA or so... pretty cool to play some old-school games.

Re: What are your top games for n900?

Ovi store has some decent quick play games like solitaire and fifteen. Also check out wormux ( linux version of the classic worms) and solarwolf. The emulators are quite good and roms for them are easy to find with a google search.

Numpty Physics looks great, and the accelerometer possibility makes it even more exciting, hope it gets to extras soon, any news on that?

Re: What are your top games for n900?

Gaming is one area where the N900 doesn't shine

Though to answer the question I've enjoyed pandemic 2 in KMplayer and it runs quite well. Angry birds was fun for about 20 minutes but I'm kind of ashamed we're forced to praise a very run-of-the-mill game that would be forgotten on the iPhone. Warcraft II in stratagus is a gimmicky but fun game.

On the topic of emulators, I've always wondered, why does my N900 have worse performance in GBA games than my G1?

I want to try Wormux but it's 73mb, how is that suppose to fit in my root? Is there a way I can install it on the largest partition?

Quake3 all the way

I must admit I'm quite dissapointed with the game- and video performance with this device. Movies are laggy, and so are most of the interesting games. Openttd runs flawlessly, though.

I ask you the same question I ask about Wormux.

Re: What are your top games for n900?

wormux doesnt install all the 73mb to root

my root FS is @ 75% and I
currently have the following games installed:

plus theres a soccer game similar to hoopsfrenzy plus other games......and more to come. its a mobile gaming console!!

gohan2091 2010-02-21 12:40

Re: What are your top games for n900?

How much of the 73mb does Wormux install into the root? I would still rather have space left for updating and future installs, I think I will give it a miss UNLESS there is a way to install elsewhere.

thanks for the other suggestions, the vgba emulator is awesome! but not all roms work (e.g. Dragonball Z: Lengend of Goku 1)..nevermind though.

Re: What are your top games for n900?

after trying snes emulator, doom, supertux i have noticed that playing games that were optimized for gamepad or big keyboard are not so fun to play with this device. So what kind of games you can play efficently on this device? Turn based?

Re: What are your top games for n900?

In addition to those already mentioned, I think Pushover is a pretty nice game.
I played it as a child (on a PC) and was hooked as soon as I tried it on the n900. It doesn't really make use of the touchscreen, though, so you've got to play it with the keyboard.

Re: What are your top games for n900?

I have Doom 1 and Wormux installed and love them! Will try out other games mentioned here soon.

I want to try Duke Nukem 3D but what version do I want? the shareware or CD version?

thanks

Do a search on this forum. Quake 3 has been discussed exhaustively, and the thread is actually called Quake 3. Similar with Duke Nukem 3D.

I really like uqm. It's one of those games that will appeal to those who like to acquire goodies in an RPG and see their character and their understanding of the game world increase in strength as they finish quests. It's a more long-term game than the ones you list, though.

Doom (PrBoom) is probably the easiest FPS to play because it doesn't require aiming (by design) or up and down looking.

Gweled is fun when you just have a few minutes, especially if you like puzzles.

One might say i'm biased because i ported and/or maintain them. Well, yeah...obviously i wouldn't spend time on them if i didn't think they were worth it! :D

Stylus friendly.

Super Tux, finished game, trying to finish the bonus levels. (Loads of them, very challenging too.)

Re: What are your top games for n900?

I too would vote for UQM. Amazing game, even amazing-er on the N900.

Angry Birds is ok, but I also like Airport, DrNokSNES (playing flashback, chrono trigger, super metriod, super mario world, final fantasy III (US Version), and Zelda III), De-Lite, and Quake III.

has anybody tried if Lord of Ultima works with MicroB ? (it's a strategic mmog, browser based, nothing to install, actually in closed beta)

Re: What are your top games for n900?

I usually SSH to an ADOM server and play this for about 15 minutes every night since that game never gets old for me and apparently I enjoy watching my character suffer a horrible, searing death.

If I'm bored and watching TV, I like to go a few rounds with Word Battle.

For offline gaming, it's Dosbox and SCUMM all the way thanks to ukki, javis and fms.

My fav is Puzzles. It is a puzzle game pack. Maybe not the best game out there, but i spent most of my time playing all those different puzzles in it (especially galaxies, that one is awesome)

asking for quality

hi, i would like to know the best game quality on N900.
if a game could take full/all advantage of N900's 3D engine, what will it be like?
can it get the quality of Age of Empires 2 or 3?
the other words, if someone can transplant AOE 2 or 3 from windows to maemo, COULD our n900 run this game(s)?
