I've just tried compiling inside Scratchbox, and not bash and I'm not getting the errors anymore. Instead I'm getting a json-glib error, which I already knew existed. Sorry if I wasted your time, |

(your exact location may be slightly different) you should be able to browse for it through your file explorer from the host environmente. If it genuinely doesn't exist you can copy your host's version to that location. |

You could check your FREMANTLE_X86 version as well (same path with X86 instead of ARMEL) as I realize that is where you are actually working (the emulator not the cross compiler)
What's the content of your sources.list for the X86 target now? and what exactly is the output from 'fakeroot apt-get update' in Scratchbox. |

That looks very much like your host machines sources.list Ubuntu9.10.
What is the contents of /scratchbox/users/maemo/targets/FREMANTLE_X86/etc/apt/sources.list ? It should look very much like the example that I posted earlier. |

i was using nokia's ubuntu image(with sdk preinstalled)...now i am installing the sdk in a fresh ubuntu installation...maybe this will solve my problem..
