Missing Thanks? :(
 

my thanks button has disappeared, I cannot be thanked or thank others, I thought it was a system wide error on maemo.org but it appears that isnt the case. I have gone through my Control Panel but didnt see anything relevant.

any ideas??

hmmmm i check the html of the site and the thanks button is there, WTF

You've got a <span id="post_thanks_button_412791" style="display:none"> there. That means that the stuff inside the span will not be shown.
Try changing your theme perhaps?
What is really weird is that no one can see the thanks button for your posts.

i changed to all the themes but nohing?? this is sooo weird lololololololol :) it must be a setting on my account because it does it over different browsers.

like i already said we mentioned this earlier in a forum where thanks is available, users cant thank him and he cant thank them.

wait it gets weired if i visit an old post where i thanked someone i can remove the thanks, then the thanks button appears, but when i click it it disappears and nothing happens

hmmmmm wonder if ive pissed off an admin member lol

Have you recently provided talk.maemo.org with an updated email address for yourself? That's normally the source of this problem. You'll need to find the email message the forum automatically sent to your new address and and follow the confirmation instructions within. Once your email address is confirmed, "Thanks" will reactivate for you.

In the infamous "broken USB" thread I see it appearing for most people but not for some... if I remember right that has to do with email validation.

Well, another feature that I'm missing at the moment is tagging. Must have to do with the post count or something. Or am I completely wrong?

Hmm. That lines up with what was "Senior Member" status in the InternetTabletTalk days. If Reggie linked the ability to create tags to post count, "300" would be one of the likely numbers to pick.
