O2 mobile web settings
How to get O2 mobile web settings on your phone?
I have an unlimited internet bolt on but it comes up with O2 post and pay GPRS. Spoke to o2 but they do not have the n900 on their system and are unable to text the settings to me. Can anyone please guide me how to manually set it? I have tried removing and inserting the sim card but no luck. |
Re: O2 mobile web settings

Re: O2 mobile web settings
When putting my old sim in my new N900, it updated with the 02 Postpay GPRS settings, but ran a speed test on this and it is embarassingly slow.
Do I need to add the mobileweb settings as another connection and if so, what are the settings required for the N900? Thanks |
Re: O2 mobile web settings
You just need to make sure you're using 3g to actually test your speed.
Also, what's your definition of "embarrasingly slow", as this could vary widely. There's no difference between using either the wap.o2.co.uk or mobile.o2.co.uk access points, and you should be able to use any of the o2web, vertigo, or bypass usernames with either of them, all with the password password. |
Re: O2 mobile web settings
O2 GPRS settings are needed if you want to send MMS
O2 Mobile Web settings ar eused for general internet, they DONT go through a WAP proxy (the "gateway IP address") http://www.filesaveas.com/gprs.html |

Re: O2 mobile web settings
hmm just for the record... it would be a good idea to tell the forum which O2 you are talking about. O2-UK is totally different from O2-DE or O2-IE.
