I've been trying to package it up for a while now (since I got Lighttpd working and in extras!), but I keep getting package/compile problems... I'm getting close though. The problem is PHP is so big that it takes a while to compile all the way through, just to get to like 99% and then fail with "missing this" or "can't do that", so I fix that and have to start the build all over again. Anyways I'll try to take another stab or two at it today!

I need this package too. Awhile back, someone put up a deb that combined lighttpd and php into one easy to install package. It worked, but I would rather have the installs separated.

edit: well, here we go... it was jolouis' package! http://talk.maemo.org/showpost.php?p...4&postcount=19

One option is to compile a version with limited functionality. I've managed to compile a version like this to my VRC, and I'm a total newbie what comes to this kind of stuff.

Any luck on the separate package?

Did anyone give a try to install that Diablo package in Fremantle?

Just wanted to check in to see if there was any luck getting the php-cgi package compiled for OS2008. Thanks in advance!

Sweet! Thanks man! Just added the repository and gave it a shot. I tried installed php5-cgi, but it said I needed mime-support. I tried finding mime-support, and then the package said it was incompatible.

Were you able to successfully install this?

Does someone have an compilation for N9? I'm trying to hijack map requests from sports-tracker and serve them from cache to save power and not exceed my data limit.

Not exactly the answer to your question, but i would recommend meeTrainer instead of SportsTracker.

No data connection needed :)

Edit: btw this is a really old thread, that has nothing to do with your question...

Yeah but it doesn't show routes on a map at all and don't have any export so not really an option for me. But I might try it some day, thanks.

Well I wanted to use PHP for serving maps at first but I've found out it's easier to install and run Python HTTP server in N9 so I might try that. Sadly they seem to be requesting various servers so it will not be that easy to hijack the request.
