Many people might not be familiar with X-plore, but apparently much of its functionality is available in other apps for the N900. If you have a particular function that you are missing, like support for rar archives, you can probably look for those specifically with better luck.

im missing xplore too, u can get all the functionality of xplore in other apps but nothing beats it. man theres not any file manager for the n900 thats even half as usable even for simple tasks.

Not sure how comparable it is to X-plore, but GPE File Manager has a decent interface and can handle the basic stuff.

I tried the GPE File Manager, and agree with the post above. Whilst it works, and does what it needs too, it could do it a lot better.
If i need to browse the file system, I tend to just SSH into it which works very well. |
Re: looking for an app like X-plore on Symbian 3rd
I think most people would want a file manager that can easily open all file types directly and also give them an option to enable/disable viewing of hidden/system folders without going to the terminal to type "sudo gainroot". I don't think most users would like to type commands in terminal.
