is it possible to dual boot wm with maemo on n900
 

Hi guys...
I've seen on youtube that someone succeeded to dual boot android and maemo on n900 , but can any one tell me how could he do that?

and Is it possbile to dual boot maemo and windows mobile ?
can any one tell me how plz? :)

what if I wanted to boot android or windows mobile only and remove the maemo from my system , is that possible also?

I'm actually a new user of linux operating systems .

Well ..I think my sentences are very obvious .I said "I've seen some one dual booting android with maemo" not wm

Anyone with real info? Why would WinMo be different to say Ubuntu on N900?

i sort of understand why someone would put android on the N900... but i havent got a clue why the heck anyone would bother putting wm..

yyeah each to their taste.. try some virtual machine or something ....

Ubuntu is open source whereas winMo is not, therefore it's far too much work (not that I'm an expert).

But not having the source code makes things very difficult.

I wouldn't say it's 110% impossible, look at some of the SmartQ products - they can dual-boot Windows CE and Linux. ;)

But it's like what rash.m2k said - it theoretically could be done, however we simply don't have the proper resources/power to make it happen. :)

sry for my agressivity.... first wm is not runnin @ n900 yet.... and it wil never run beacause microsoft wouldnt open source it... and who would work so much to port a so much crappy system....

second... no runnin wm = no dualboot
but if it would run on n900 there would dualboot too

third.... dont believe youtube.... there are so many fakes out there....

I actually just want to run a medical application called up-to-date and it seems it is not running on my n900 , that's why i asked if i can install wm any how ...i hope anyone can help me to install up-to-date i really need it .

Running WM apps on the N900 is close to impossible.

But it might be worth you posting a brainstorm. If you describe what up-to-date dose and what features you would like from it. It is very possible that someone may be willing to work with you to create a similar application.

As I have a little experience in that field. Yopu never know ;o)

thanks all of u guys ...Up-to-date is very easy to run program .. it is basically just like an e-book ...I don't know ,it is quite weired that it is not running on n900 it is a very basic easy-to-run application .
