Alarm clock application with custom sounds?

Hi,

I'm looking for an application with can act as alarm clock, but with custom sounds for each alarm. and it would be great if the alarm could not only be a single MP3 file, but a M3U (Playlist) file.

I bevieve there is a mode where it randomly plays MP3 files from a selected folder.

hmm looks like a good app. just installed it, but it looks like you can select only one MP3. neither M3U nor a directory to play randomly.
anyway still far better then the build in one :-)

@thundercat600
sounds good, how far are you with the project?
the idea of using a video to wake up is also interesting. if i remember it right there is an app for the iPhone that let you choose between some videos from some woman. nice idea if you have a video from your GF waking you up in the morning, if you are on the road :-)

:-)

I believe the Diable (N800/N810) version is farther along than the Fremantle (N900) version.

What's wrong with the original n900 alarm clock?

Custom alarm sound??? - to name just one thing. If it can be tweaked to play another sound then let me know,

Re: Alarm clock application with custom sounds?

Well go in the alarm clocks settings and choose any mp3 you like.

Thanks, I was looking for that the other day and couldn't see it.

Re: Alarm clock application with custom sounds?

ok didn't know that, but you can't select individual alarm tones for each alarm. you can't select a playlist as alarm, you can't even select a folder from which the MP3s are chosen randomly.

Re: Alarm clock application with custom sounds?

Just working on the framework and app design, hopefully i will try and get something working into the community as soon as possible. I also understand there are other alarm clock apps out there however I have some specific requirements in what I want my alarm clock to do. It is also my first app so I wanted to make something interesting.

Just as a side note, this is being written in c++ using the Qt framework. Ill keep people posted as I reach each milestone.

It will snooze only for 15 minutes. For me that's not enough :o

thundercat600 2010-04-09 17:30

Re: Alarm clock application with custom sounds?

I was thinking about letting the user select a default snooze time from a list such as

5 min,
10 min,
15 min,
Custom

Prehaps a number of snooze repeats as well!

Re: Alarm clock application with custom sounds?

Is it possible using the N900 built in alarm to have it play a custom MP3 in it's entirety? I have set it to play my MP3 file but it cuts off after a time and doesn't play it all.

I can't see anywhere where you can increase the duration......anyone got any ideas?

kolos 2010-04-11 14:47

Re: Alarm clock application with custom sounds?

I agree, possibility to increase the alarm duration would be great.
