Ready to buy or am I???
I'm ready to buy an N900 but want to see if anybody has heard about a N910 or something coming out for this summer. Last time I bought a N770 and within 2 weeks the N800 came out.
Thanks |
Re: Ready to buy or am I???
No word on an official N910.
There will always be another model in the works, and it will always come faster than computers do these days (they are the new 'cutting edge' hardware of the 2000's). That said, if you keep waiting for the "next model" you will always be waiting. |

Yeah, that's true. Just doing some due diligence before I pull the trigger. I have to have my "fact" ammunition to go against my friends who bought the ipad. ;-)

Re: Ready to buy or am I???
Well before the announcement of MeeGo Nokia was talking about a Maemo 6 device to be released towards the end of 2010. Who knows, maybe they'll try to stick to this. Adding a "new" OS might (or might not) make a device come earlier.

Re: Ready to buy or am I???
To make an iPad owner mad, just press the two little squares in the top left of your home screen with a couple of browser windows open.
Then copy/paste something. :D Then tell them you paid half. :D Then make a call with it. :D |
Re: Ready to buy or am I???
Apple realy is amazing. How do they do it ?? Now they have managed to get us comparing the N900 to the iPad. It used to be "is the N900 the iPhone killer" Come om everybody. The n900 and the Apple products appeal to completely different clientel. Apple customers want something you take out of the box and use. The n900 is for people who want to "shape" their device to their own tastes and needs. One thing we all will have to admit, Apple's marketing is "The Best". Nokia could at least learn a bit from that devision.
Now to the first question. At first reading I was really hot to buy the N97 until I had it in my hands and realised immediately what a terrible device it was. Then I read about the N900, a better N97, in fact really different, so I waited and waited and waited. Finally I could order one and did so without having it this time in my hands. After 4 months I haven't regretted it !! More waiting???... No way. Buy it, it is great fun !! |

There is no reason someone wouldn't buy an N900 and an iPad. They are quite different.

Re: Ready to buy or am I???
Ok, I've been following this site for 6 months. I'm ready to take the plunge too!! This would be my First phone, and Linux device; but I want it bad. Can someone whats great about the 900 out of the box? Eventually I see myself overclocking, to browse with Chrome and to play Dos games, but what can I expect when I first get the N900? should this be my first phone or should i go for a N810, and a $20 refill phone?
