Where do you put your n900 while walking ?
 

The weather is getting quite warm. And I think my coat will stay at home someday. The problem is, i still haven´t bought a bag for my n900. It is always in my pocket in the coat. And the pockets of jeans are not so big, that i could carry it in those without getting annoyed from that feeling from a big thing in there ^_^

So how do you carry your n900 ? I knew there are a lot of bag-threads and i read about 40 pages in this forum ... but still have no idea which one i should buy.

So please post how you carry it and by the way wich bag/screen protector you use.
I think i could hang it on my belt. There is a cool pocket from PDair but it has a clip and i fear it could fall down.

Leg pockets. It's the only way to go. With two phones, a wallet and some other random junk, pockets on your legs are the best.

I use CP-408 case, and jeans pocket, no problems for me...

i have a monkey in a butler sui follow me everywhere with a red velvet cushion for my n900!

but seriously, how tight are your jeans if its that cumbersome? tbh i dont notice it when i'm used to my trousers being filled with the weight of my ENORMOUS... keyring. ;)

And a related question, where do you put your N900 while jogging? I put in the pocket of my shorts, but I can feel the drag a bit more than I want to. I rather wish I had a belt on my shorts and some kind of belt case to attach the N900 to. But I don't. At least it's not as bad as when I carried my N800 or N810 in the pocket of my shorts.

I was thinking of finding one of those armband type things and carrying the N900 on my arm somehow...

It highly depends on where I'm doing it... in the bathroom, I have this small perch right beside the towel hanger - then I can safely pu the N900 on its stand there. On the bed, I have to hang on to it with my left hand... and when I'm in the car, it's...

Ohhhh... while WALKING... nevermind!

yea i see =) thank you .. the only thing i dislike on this pocket is, that you cant connect it to the belt . but still the bag locks quite good.

I just whack it in my jeans pocket. It's less big than the ancient Nokia & iRiver MP3 player combo I used to cart around.

well... traditionally no, but if you've ever been up here you'll know it can get damn cold at times, so you can be forgiven if you're not wearing it properly on occasion. but tbh we very seldom wear kilts. weddings and festivals mainly.

and if you're wearing a kilt the sporran is the perfect n900 holder, as long as you don't leave your keys in there too.

Pant pockets if a jacket pocket isn't available. I had plenty of practice with carrying my Nintendo DS Lite and PSP Phat. The N900 is like a tiny baby compared to those things.

Don't get that pdair case. I was considering it myself but I read a review on this forum where the belt clip gave way after a few weeks. Also the case covers the N900's bezel so you can't swipe as easily.

I personally just use a screen protector and a rubber case I found off ebay, the back of the case isn't staying on as strongly but I only paid 5 dollars for the whole case anyway. I then put it in my pocket (I don't wear jeans, i don't like how it makes taking out my wallet a struggle). Though on the other hand it would be a great way to stop yourself from spending money.

oh yeah dip a haggis skin in seal piss and you can call it a genuine authentic hand crafted scottish whatever the hell the tourist wants to buy at the time! and with the global warming causing haggis to breed at an alarming rate and the whole seal incontinence epidemic we're basically printing money here! :)

Right side pants pocket. Using an adapted N800 Javoscreen protector (there was no N900 Javoscreen protector available at the time).

Jeans' front pocket or in leg pocket with shorts.

I also have an arm band, but N900 is little too big 4 that. Should find bigger arm band pocket.

I use a CP-321 and just put it in my pocket. I have bluetooth stereo headphones, so the lack of access to the connectors is not a big hassle. I also wear the 'hipster' jeans and don't have a problem with the size of the N900.

I keep my N900 with me all the time and use it to take a lot of photos, so accesibility is important to me.

Just bough a CP-231 leather case from BMC Digital - Genuine Nokia for £11.99 inc delivery. Arrived the next day!

Looks good, doesn't add any bulk so it still fits the pocket. N900 slips in and out easily and quickly. I use a screen protector from uk-tek - clearer than the excellent Proporta alternative and a lot cheaper - I can afford to replace them every couple of weeks or so if needed. Gives less feel than the Proporta when scrolling with finger or stylus and does show fingerprints more, though.

I carry a couple of spare fully charged genuine batteries just in case in a converted leather credit-card holder, but have never had to swap batteries yet as I go fully offline when walking for some peace & quiet!.

I bought this norêve case:

It has a belt clip detachable connector; all ports remain accessible (except of course micro-sd;-)))
Lots of pros; just two cons: high price and vertical hanging on the belt, I'd rather put it horizontally

I have a CP-321 and a Clarivue screen protector. While walking I either hold it in my hand or put in my jacket/pants pockets.

I'd like to try the CP-408 case.

I am currently using my case for my Dell Axim (PDA)
It's a bit too big, but it protects my phone.

I wear a jean jacket and it fits very snugly in my top right pocket with the flap buttoned, so if I suddenly get the mad urge to stand on my head, or walk on my hands it remains safely ensconced.

(That's a four-year old photo, so it prominently shows where I used to keep my Palm TX. Don't be fooled! ;) )

It comes with a cellphone pocket (visible to the upper-right), and the N900 slips in easily. I have a lanyard attached so it's easy to remove also.

In case anyone's curious, the Geekpurse is a Maxpedition "Fatboy" Versipack; found it through a Gadgeteer review. I can't stand the name ("fatboy"? c'mon!), but I've had the bag for almost half a decade and have had zero problems. The spool-like thing with the spinning star on the upper-left is a custom key chain reel - I remain my mother's child and so easily lose my keys unless I attach them with something like that. ;)

Should hold the thing safe as I like to break into a run occasionaly, however its been 17 days since I ordered and it has not turned up.
