Finished Translating OS into Arabic, In extras-devel now.
 

Hello,

I've been working on a project to fully translate the maemo 5 into arabic language.

i've finished translating all strings using poedit, so i have a complete list of .po and .mo files fully translated into arabic.

ُEdit: its now in extras-devel repo, Name: Arabic localization,

hey man can you contact me? i want your help me on how to translate it. I want to do my own translation too but no idea where to start. The package for my language in the repository isn't correctly translate and still incomplete.

Actually translation is done, and everything is ready.

I feel my work was complete waste of time...

all language files are translated, i just need a way to make a package that adds the new language to the system. that was possible with other languages so why not now?

Its Ukeyboard. download it than add arabic to text input settings.

i have the ukeyboard 2.1 but how i can switch the virtual keyboard from writing in english to write in arabic??

Calendar and time settings are firmware related bugs, not translation errors. Thankfully it's fixed in PR1.2.

Version 0.4 is in -devel now, lot of translation fixes :)

No man When i change langauge back to english both working perfect
only when phone is arabic enabled i get da error

Package is 100% compatible with PR1.2 now, also fixed the clock settings and calendar tasks bug.

How can i promote it to maemo extras? as i see 0 bugs at the moment.

I'd wait for PR1.2 then promote, the testing team will probably demote the package till the clock settings work.

V0.6 released, contains translation fixes, and is now linked to a bug tracker.
Since the package is now stable (with the release of PR1.2), I've pushed it into -testing.
Vote it up so that it reaches extras.
(The reason we added (Free) was because the package was being sold at some places in the ME, please report any shops you see doing this)
