Hi Guys,

Have decided to sell my Nokia N900 as have purchased a HTC Desire.

It is a fantastic device and cannot really fault it in anyway. The community support for the device is great also. Dont really want to let it go, but cant justify having both hehe.

I just feel that Android and the desire is more suited to my day to day needs.

My device is a recent insurance replacement ( only 1 week old ), as i dropped my original unit.

All accessories are unused and as new, it is also supplied with an original nokia pouch case. will supply a screen protector also.

I work for carphonewarehouse and this was purchased as a unlocked sim free unit, so will work with any UK sim.

Collection is welcome from st helens, or will accept payment via bank transfer or paypal. See pics below.

Just an update as have reflashed firmware, and emmc.. and its all boxed and ready to ship if anyone is interested.

I got mine 3 months ago on gumtree for 350....drop it down to 300, maybe 280 and you`ll have a sell ( not me, someone else will buy it) :)

Yeah 300 is a fair price, been looking today at the prices and that seems to be the going rate now (£270 - £300).

Hi guys,

It's ok guys dont worry bout it not in a big rush to sell... the HTC is brill very quick and feels well polished when your using it, would be nice if htc implemented integrated IM like on the n900 but other than that i am very pleased with it.

To be honest i couldn't fault the n900 being a bit of a geek i enjoyed using it and playing around... i just felt that the android platform suits me more for day to day use.

Plus working for carphonewarehouse does not help my gadget addiction! :P

A couple of days ago I was considering doing the same thing but I'm finding it hard to part with my N900. Anything you miss now you are using the HTC?

To be honest the main things i miss are the hardware keyboard which was fantastic for typing out emails... and i do miss the integrated im protocols which the n900 supported, have installed ebuddy on the desire now which contemplates it.

Other than that i dont miss much.. actually really enjoying the using the HTC has some really cool features.

I dont mind shipping out of the uk, just depends on location shipping costs etc. let me know where you are and i will see what i can do.

be very carefull shipping out of uk mate..make sure you dont use any western union payments etc..infact be wary of bank transfers too. make sure you have funds in account for at least 5 working days...

Having no luck selling mine either. No one seems to want to buy them! Has been on ebay for nearly 4 days, no signs of it selling. I keep lowering the price too.

Second hand ones seem to be selling under £300 now, and news ones can be picked up for not much over £350!

If its any help, I put mine on ebay on Wednesday for Buy it now of £299 and it was gone by lunchtime. 2 months old and boxed. I wouldn't do auction. Just do Buy it now with best offer. I got loads of interest in the short time it was for sale.

Only 300£? Damn, that's a seriously good price! And I just bought mine new from an online retailer for 470€...

yeah i tried ebay twice, got some nigerian scammers both times... so after a row with ebay support over final value fees i do not really wanna do it again.

CEX on the high street will offer £288 trade or £240 cash as I found out.

I'm sticking with mine now though as added 16GB microSD for a mega music machine!!

Looks like CEX are now only offering £204.00 cash for a mint condition N900.

I think anything £275+ would be doing quite well.

I managed to sell mine on eBay for £295 with free postage a few days ago.

Only do a "Buy It Now" if you can put immediate payment, or what I did after two people trying to scam me from a buy it now option, was to put it up as an auction starting at £285. Generated interest towards the last day, so a 3 day auction should sell it. I think free postage helped sell it too, though it cost me nearly £7 to post with Royal Mail special delivery.

Yeah to be honest would just like to avoid ebay... with final value fees, and listing fees isnt really worth it.

I am open to offers now guys, so i can get the misses desire sorted.

£280 inc next day special delivery takes it.

This forum is not a good place to sell an N900 as pretty much everyone already has one.

Stick it on ebay with a but it now paypal only and take the £300. The price is collapsing every day.

Sell on Craigslist.org That might be your best bet. I sell stuff within the hour of posting on there. Don't know if you have available where you are.

Amazon Marketplace works pretty well too, but you have to be careful of scammers as well.

If a person cannot afford 2 devices or more, you may want to seek another career and if you`re a student, then you should be spending money elsewhere.

I own the HTC HD2 (which is a beast) but I really love physical keyboards. So I get both, simple as.

what kind of useful lame comment is that? for starters i am not a student.. i work for carphonewarehouse in the uk, and can afford any device or devices that i want.

i just dont see the logic having two devices, especially for the other half.

i would have kept my n900 apart from the lack of information and updates from nokia hq was getting on my nerves..

thats for a network locked handset... they offer £225 for a unlock grade a mint handset. was in there the other day before i sold mine.

Every device is unique and offers a different performance.

Why do people have a laptop & a normal PC?

Why do people have small tvs in the bedroom and a huge plasma in the living room?

I have a use for every device I bought, I don't regret or re-sell them.
