Overclocking n900 900mhz. Error. Need some hand

Hey guys. Need some little help.

Soon after i hit flasher-3.5 -k zImage-600mhz -f -R

I get below details.

USB device found found at bus bus-0, device address \\.\libusb0-0001--0x0421-0x0
105.
Found device RX-51, hardware revision 2101
NOLO version 1.4.14
Version of 'sw-release': RX-51_2009SE_3.2010.02-8.002_PR_002
Sending kernel image (109 kB)...
100% (109 of 109 kB, avg. 15571 kB/s)
Flashing kernel... done.

Everything complete done. But as soon as i switch my n900 its like can't pass the nokia screen.

I have to reflash it with "flasher-3.5.exe -F RX-51_2009SE_3.2010.02-8.002_PR_COMBINED_002_ARM.bin -f -R" to open back.

How do i overclock it. ? i test it alot of time. same issue.

If the custom kernel was in a zipped folder, did you unzip it? Once, I accidentally flashed my N900 with a .Zip folder lol and I didn't get past the Nokia splash screen.

Is it plugged ino the charger? I have had issues with using the phone and the charger being in it while powering up. It looks as if you did everything correct. I rename all my files like first update usa1.bin, or global1.bin or 900500.bin just to make it easy. Maybe do the flash line and take of the -R switch when trying to flash the overclock. Then unplug it then take out battery and restart it yourself. Maybe that might help.

You probably haven't installed rootsh which is needed.

where did you put the downloaded kernel.. should be on the correct place "root fiasco-image-update /home/user/MyDocs/zImage900.fiasco" this should be a continuous command on your xterm

Why are you flashing the 600MHz kernel if you want to overclock?

dinz, you are missing the very basics of a Linux system if you don't know what root is or how to move files.
I might sound harsh now but I'd recommend to first get some basic linux knowledge before trying to hack your system and then wondering why some things might not work anymore and how to fix them / analyze them.

As the above post.. try to lern the basic commands. It will be worth it.

Some reference material for you:

mv = move and rename files
cp = copy files
rm = delete files
rm -r = delete folders with files
ls = see whats in the folder
ls -a = see even hidden files and folders
cd = go to directory
cd .. = go back one step
cd /home = go to home directory

Use the tab-key to auto-complete
