How many posts had maemo.org deleted to you today?

After my total disappointment with Maemo.org when deleting ONE post against Ari Jaaksi, (ban warnings included), I just noticed that ALL MY POSTS ARE BEING DELETED, yesterday, more of 180, today 90...

Is happening this to other users? I can see nicks with ZERO posts and 23 times "thanked"...

Well, congrats FANBOYS and NOKIS, you win!
We are being deleted from maemo.org.

Now, for the real people and trolls, check your post counter, perhaps some surprises there...

Some kind of bug?

Moderator attention needed. It's confusing to see this kind of claims, since Maemo.org is and should be an open platform, not some kind of dictatorship.

I agree,
Fargus' profile page is in my address bar so I use it as a quick link to maemo.org
Recently the post count stood at 1,166 then I noticed it went down to 1,165, now it is down to 1,162 with the last post being on 30th of April.

@andyfrommk
I'm not sure about rpgAmazon since he lost lots of posts, but If you have lost a little, I think it is not important, most likely admins are updating database. If I'm remembering correctly, on some forums your post counter will increase when you post, but won't decrease if your post gets removed before periodic updates. And If they did an update lately you'll notice a drop on your post counter.

posts are not always deleted most are merged with existing threads.
I've only noticed posts being deleted when they talk about piracy or are offensive or a person is being repetitive in the threads/posts they keep making.
imo not enough posts are deleted b/c this forum is turning into total garbage with the same bs threads repeated 100x a day the past month or so. i'm finding very hard to find the interesting threads b/c of so many repetitive garbage ones

You're right about garbage threads. I think creating a "Useless Whine" category (name it something more pretty) would help. It's boring to see at least 10 threads claiming their hate to Nokia a day. (Same applies to PR1.2 threads, too)

Re: How many posts had maemo.org deleted to you today?

There is no conspiracy here. NvyUs is most likely on target. For one, post count doesn't accrue in off Topic so if a thread or single post is moved into or oiut of here then stats like post count and Thanks will change.

Many threads are started in the wrong location. This is one of them, so it's being moved.

If a topic is moved to Off Topic, the Thanks! will no longer be visible.

Well maybe if they get their heads out of the sand and at least give some type of windows or time-frame for the release of the pr1.2 update then everyone would not profess their anger and resentment towards Nokia. After all this time no word on anything concerning that update and it remains to be seen it if will get released before the end of the year. It would be a huge gesture of goodwill, at least I believe, to at least put some balm on it and tell us when to expect it. Or at the very least tell us what is the delay.

This forum is not responsible for Nokia delays and should not bear the brunt of anger over them.

You're right.

"profess their anger and resentment towards Nokia"

You're wrong, I think. Maemo.org or TMO is not/can not be a platform to profess anger, since it is not Nokia-driven. If you're angry because Nokia is doing sth bad, there's still no reason to punish Maemo.org community with garbage threads and useless stuff. Moderators here can not give you what you want.

@Texrat
Thanks for your explanation, so I'm happy to see it was only a misunderstanding :)

Yep.

And speaking of explanations-- I added those details to my sticky thread under Off Topic.
