And again a thread to close! I am sorry guys but I have signed a NDA and all questions on the new Ovi Suite will be answered when it is out or the beta gets opened.

Till then all new threads about it will get deleted no matter what. The previous threads got deleted by me because they turned into violation of the NDA s/o signed.

i just got an email saying the beta is released I am downloading it now. Those who registered for beta, check your emails!

Texrat can you create a sticky thread with a warning to not discuss this whole Ovi Suite thing here? I guess until all participants receive their emails we gonna see a lot of threads like this one :)

I can't in this section. I'll raise this issue to the mods.

It depends on the nature of the talk of course.

I am deeply irritated by this thread. We are adults. We should abide by our words. Whether this is a war between 2 countries, or just a handshake agreement between 2 kids. Are linux hackers have less moral standard or maturity compared to average people?

I would not post on this thread and I would not look at this thread. Period.

As Texrat said it depends about what are you talking. Some people who got access to beta started to copy paste features and what is supported and what's not...Its closed beta for which we have registered couple of weeks ago. I'm testing it right now, so far soo good there are no major problems so far. I believe it will be out of beta mode very soon maybe around the time PR 1.2 comes out. We all expect it to be in May :)

Hmm did I see on the Nokia forum someone saying something about preparing and scanning phone for maps and voice guidance?? Is turn by turn coming finally to the N900? That would be awesome.

I want OTA contacts sync NOW please!

woody14619 2010-05-04 05:52

Re: ovi suite v2.2.0.124 beta released!

My biggest question: Does it at least support the N900 as well as the current OVI/PC Suite supports us?

I don't care about new features... I want to be able to keep the ones I enjoy now. If it can still sync with Outlook via cable and bluetooth, I'll be happy. :)

I'm a tester of Ovi beta.

Unfortunately , it is limited support for N900 ..

However, i wish if that will be change after PR 1.2

Really i can't believe that.

Let us dream about more attention from Nokia.

You are on the Beta - that is more attention from Nokia, why not thank them.

It's beta software which should alert you to the possibility that some features may not be fully working yet.

Do You understand What a NDA is?
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Non-disclosure_agreement

From what everyone has been pointing out, people who have been given access to the Beta Suite are to NOT disclose features or news or discuss about it to the outside world, yes that includes T.M.O. sadly :(

But please do honor the terms of using the software and refrain from disclosing information about it here.

PS: A request to the Council. Give more moderators cross forum privileges. Its ridiculous to have a moderator on the thread having no privileges to influence a debatable thread, its content or existence. T.M.O has users from all over the world & super-moderators/relevant moderators aren't necessarily awake/present when actions are most needed.

Thanks Nokia for releasing a device like N900. but i learned a very good lesson this time , when i going to buy a device , i have to look first for its services and sync after buying.

I'm not saying I hate Nokia , but really i'm choking everyday for delaying of support of N900. 5 month i believe in Nokia they can't leave N900. But i'm afraid that my faith in Nokia start to be affected.

I did not share any new news about the Beta version and i'm not going to share that anyways, although the limited support for N900 it is already known issue.

However, May be you are right?

No, you are almost right.

I should not even mentioned anything about OVI beta at all.

Thanks for your advise...

and sorry for misunderstanding.

Re: ovi suite v2.2.0.124 beta released!

From my initial reading of the beta email I took it to mean not to post any login details or info about the actual beta features. I don't think it's a sin to actually mention that the beta has actually started.
