N900 of course and what do you mean by service? I've activated my *******@ovi.com and want to use it to send and receive emails on N900

Well it should work right out of the box... The only problem when that happens to me is when my internet connection got held up and it wouldn't refresh ... have you tried restarting your phone?

That's the thing , I've read that most people had troubles with activating Gmail on N900 but for me it works. Dont know why Ovi wont connect :(

Yea I tried to restart and even deleted and created a new one

Re: Ovi mail doesnt work

check these settings:

Account Title:
Name:
Username:
Pass:
Email:
Incoming server :imap.mail.ovi.com
port: 993
outgoing server : smtp.mail.ovi.com
username
Pass:
SSL
port: 465

btw have you sent a test email to yourself to see if can work or not?

you can change that. go to the screen that has all your accounts the tap the "e-mail" at the top bar and tap settings ... scroll down and it lets you select update automatically, and set the intervals for updates. I set mine to 30mins interval and auto update on any connection automatically

Re: Ovi mail doesnt work

also everytime i manually refresh, inbox always shows '1 new message' but when i open inbox theres none?
it has always done this.
if i do have 1 email, inbox shows as '2 new messages'
ect... ect... ect...
o2mail is always perfect though so i use that instead

Re: Ovi mail doesnt work

that happens to me too. It turns out that there was one unread mail that is buried in my inbox somewhere and i couldn't get rid of it until i marked as read. Idk about your situation thought. I find the email on n900 is helpful to me :)
