Re: [HELP] The light on my keyboard doesn't want to turn on
Download HealthCheck and see if the N900 detects if the keyboard slider is open or closed.
If it doesn't it's a hardware problem. If it does detect the slider: Chances are mce crashed, as root type stop mce && sleep 1 && start mce (or reboot the device). If that doesn't work try reflashing. If all that fails it could be the LEDs, would appreciate it if noobmonkey could add my script as a keyboard test :) |

Have you overclocked and undervolted your n900? Then i would sugest to raise the voltage settings.

Re: [HELP] The light on my keyboard doesn't want to turn on
I didn't overclock my N900 .
HealthCheck can detect if the keyboard slider is open or closed . I tried "stop mce && sleep 1 && start mce" and I got this : http://media.share.ovi.com/m1/s/2057...54d57c2ca1.jpg Reboot doesn't help . Thank for your help |

I had the same problems once. Try to remove the battery and put it in again. This worked for me.

Re: [HELP] The light on my keyboard doesn't want to turn on
engine3_mode is missing, odd....
It's not even creating it. Try Code:
echo run > /sys/class/i2c-adapter/i2c-2/2-0032/engine3_mode Code:
cat /etc/mce/mce.ini | more Quote:
Code:
apt-get --reinstall install mce |

The above mentioned error when anything tries to access the /sys/ files which would normally be there indicate that the driver for the LEDs has not loaded. This either means the software is somehow corrupt, or there is a hardware fault. Unfortunately, it looks like - as it's persisted over flashing - it's a hardware fault. You need to take your n900 in for repair. |

Does the other LED work? (the one next to the display)

Re: [HELP] The light on my keyboard doesn't want to turn on
Hmm, weird...
Any apps you installed lately? No app should touch mce, unless it was lockdaemon (which I doubt since you reflashed) |
