My n900 died after upgrade to 1.1.something. I flashed it back to std firmware but it expired nonetheless.

How do I get over this?

Anyone got an old Sony Ericsson I can have?

OK I get a new phone soon but the N900 needs to withstand a few flashes. I may have to go back to mainstream crap otherwise :(

If you can flash it, it isn't dead.

If you can't flash it, maybe it's the battery.

Make sure it is charged.

constant reflash etc.
no connection to Vodafone.

Is it only the sim that doesn't work or the whole phone. It might be that you flashed a earlier FW than the one you already had, that will disable the phone radio. Wich FW are you on now?

Phone away for repair.

Flashed an unofficial release and it worked but not well. Flashed to the newest Nokia release (als flashed the memory after two failed attempts) and it didnt work. Killed - no connection to the mobile network - wireless connection ok. I could access the internet.

Phone dead. Gone for repair. I need a new spanky device/phone option :(

Sorry to iggy your reply. New unofficial firmware flashed to newest official one - so maybe a backdate?

Disabled phone connection altho all else working fine. Sent the fugger back for repair during a despairing moment....

However looks like you're new to all that firmware and reflashing stuff so its better if you send it to Nokia ( assuming warranty is not VOID) OR its better if you ask for help from someone


FYI if you downgrade from leaked pr 1.2 to any other your phone functionality will be lost, its been the major problem for people :)
