would you carry a controller to play games on your nokia n900
 

So I have seen the n900 using the PS3 controller, can we get the xbox controller to work? Then can I use my n900 to play games like Battle Field Bad Company 2 online all from my phone using the controller? Yes this is TEFLON GURILLA from xbox live and I want to kill people everywere I am, and I know there are smart people out there who can give me what I need. I want my n900360 please!

Any sugestions?

To answer the title: Yes I would.. and I do... been trying to finish Crono Trigger on SNES... I'm about 6
hours in :P

ermm you can't play xbox or ps3 games on the n900.
you can use the ps3 sixaxis over bluetooth to play emulators or n900 games...

Just got back from vacation, has anyone got the 360 controler to work. I will wait, PS3 controler to small for man hands, lol. Dont hate PS3 people, I want my 360 controler. Anyone know of someone who can make this happen? Info is cool.

The 360 controller needs a usb hub to work, it doesn't work like Ps3 and wii and zeemotes does. 8t works the same way as the non official Ps3 controllers (google if you like to know more). Yes it's all bluetooth, but microsoft has choosen this way on conectivity :( Maybe when they get the usb host mode to work on the N900 you might be lucky that somebody makes the 360 controller work. Well i hope so ;)

At the moment i use wiimote and zeemote to play emus :D

I would never carry a controller that's AS BIG AS THE FREAKIN DEVICE ITSELF GAWD.

Only if it's one of those tiny bluetooth controllers. Like that MSI one. Then MAYBE. But I'd prefer that N900 keypad overlay thing :D
One could program the vol/camera keys to act as shoulder buttons, btw.

What I want is a Game Gripper for this thing. I won't play any emulated games untill it's out because they keyboard just kills the experience.

Are there any threads to the bluetooth about making it accept new devices such as the 360 controller? Now what about the emulator for the xbox, not the 360 although I want it and would pay even. Just some more thoughts. And as for the off topic its a discussion don’t interrupt. Any links to Bluetooth devices for n900 or xbox emulator would be appreciated.

you seem to know about things so do you know anyone working on the bluetooth apps. Also what would the cost be to make something like this happen. If you know anyone send them my way.

To answer your question:
The 360 controller does NOT use bluetooth so connecting it to your N900 (or anything else for that matter) is out of the question. it will NOT happen. look for any PC that allows you to use a 360 controller over BT and you will likely find NONE. if the chances of using a 360 controller over BT is slim on the PC it's even slimmer on the N900. Your only hope is a wired or dongle connection to the USB port but you will then need somebody to create drivers. does the usb 360 pad work out of the box on a linux PC?
Just get a PS3 pad and avoid any trouble.

I do not carry a pad but if I played alot of emulators I probably would.

I don't think anybody is working on a app to connect a 360 controller. The people working on usb host mode (now called h-e-n) have not finished that app yet and made it work stable and they only made it work on a few N900's (if you want to know more about it search this site: usb host mode). You will need them to finish first before you can connect any usb dongle/memory stick etc. to the phone and make it see it. Then you need to find out if its possible to make it work with a dongle outside of the Xbox 360 and then get somebody to make a driver for it and then som kind of app/gui for the N900.
I think the chances for us to see a 360 controller work on N900 is slim to nothing and i would surgest you aswell to get a Ps3 controller ;)
