Cannot change settings.. [N900 / PR1.2]
 
I updated My n900 to official PR1.2 (after running LPR1.2 without problems)

now, in settings, I cannot open anything... I press the buttons but nothing happens!?!?!

tried uninstalling recent apps, changing theme to default... reboot, power off.... a hammer is next :D

I would recommend flashing the new emmc image...

Do a fresh flash if you havent already. I havent had a problem since flashing (other than my USB port.. but that's a hardware fault :P)

when i updated, i flashed fiasco then emmc with no reboot inbetween....

restored backup, and my MCE file.. (<--- this may be problem?)

It happens to me too with my official PR1.2. I only have 2 Settings under Extras category (Call Notify and Last.fm)

Everything works OK from Personalization to Extras, BUT once I pressed on Call Notify from Extras, all Setting icons won't work anymore until you restart Settings application from Menu.

No its a bug. Even I could not open anything in the Settings despite the fact that I had reflashed the eMMC as well. Reflashed both again and now it works. BUG!

once you click the Call notify app setting, you can not click any other settings

Yep, that sounds right. I think I had clicked on Call notify.

Is there a page where all the PR 1.2 bugs are being organized and then dissected to find the cause?

try a full clean flash, it worked great for me
use the new eMMC and global
took about 6 hours last night to get all my mods reapplied but its sweet now, i aint even bothered oc'ing it either
(and i would avoid copying your other mce file, just to be safe this time)

Well indirectly this is Nokia's fault. If they had a decent app store with proper QC then issues like this could be prevented. Insted it's a Russian Roulette everytime you go to install anything. I would swap my N900 for an iPhone in the blink of an eye for this reason. Other reasons include the total lack of decent office software (without hacking the hell out of your device). Piss poor email that won't sync with most exchange servers. No spell check, no email search, no voice guided sat nav, pants battery life, screen full of dead pixels after 6 months, oh yer and about 4 useful apps all burried under a ton of geek *****.

This better improve as i'm stuck with this brick for another 12 months!
