Any program for this? New update doesn't offer any funtionality for this.

Or just install camkeyd and you can switch windows by half pressing the camera key (a great way to switch windows without having to open the keyboard or exit your app from full screen mode).

I'll try this one.

CTRL+Backspace isn't what I looked for. I want to toggle directly between windows like you can do on an PC. But maybe camkeyd is enough.

I recommend shortcutd. In addition to the cam key you can use the proximity censor for various things.

This works with PR1.2? Stable? Not causing any problems when installed.

I installed shortcutd but it doesn't offer any toggling between windows? Only CTRL+Backspace?

Camkeyd is stuck in devel and is deprecated, superseeded by shortcutd. There are no apps that directly switch because holding keys is hard on N900, as Windows Alt+Tab does the same (launch exposee), only it helps you select by releasing a key. On N900, it would require you to hold a key, then hit other keys which is quite a pain.

Use shortcutd and tap the app you want, it's what we all do and it's quite useful once you get the hang of it. Since there is no "default app" in exposee, you would need a different exposee to implement a "current" window.

I doubt it will be done, or its usefulness. I'm sure the devels of shortcutd are open to suggestions if you have a good one, though.

Nice, but would want it to work also when qwerty-keyboard is closed.

shortcutd could have more options, like covering the proximity sensor while pressing camera focus would do this "Alt-TAB" (or something else which is configured)

Someone proposed on the other thread great idea, that for example to emulate multitouch pinch zoom and more, one would cover the proximity sensor and then the touch gestures would mean something else than normally when proximity sensor is not covered.

It can't be done in an unmodified system, as far as I can tell. Once you have modified-hildon-desktop installed, this can be done programmatically, by dbus-signals, so you could configure (or rewrite) shortcutd to do this.



Install package easyroot

Open an xterm.

Run the commands:
Report the results.
