I googled "nokia $479" and saw N900 & N97 Mini 8GB being mentioned for sale at $479 several times. Unfortunately at that price point, they're on some sort of special offer and wouldn't jibe with the advertisement's wording of "up to $479". So I'd say there's no chance the free phone is a N900. |
Re: NokiaUSA : Buy one get one for FREE!
Yeah, I agree with ysss. The n900 is worth $549 to them, so I doubt the free phone will be that.

Re: NokiaUSA : Buy one get one for FREE!
this deal is ******ed. They are dangling phones in front of you to get you to spend 300 bucks. 300 bucks that people may have spent some where else had they not thought they would get a phone even close to 479 bucks for free. you can buy a 300 from where ever but the idea of getting a 500+ dollar phone like n900 for spending 300 is worth buying what ever crap they offer under 300. N WTF is up with not being able to know what phone? they dont verify service provider or anything just just ship you what ever crap didnt sell that week. SCAM

Re: NokiaUSA : Buy one get one for FREE!
They must as well give out the N900 free of charge 'cause very soon nokia will be making bricks out of it 'cause nobody will be buying it.

Re: NokiaUSA : Buy one get one for FREE!
@andraeseus: did you buy one from them already?
Just a few keywords from that ad... - buy one and get one free - "It's a surprise!" - valued at "up to $479" |

Re: NokiaUSA : Buy one get one for FREE!
Damn I got a dilemma, I could get a nexus one for my mom, brand new for $450. Or get her a x6 or e72 and get me a phone for free :D lol....I'm stumped. :/
|
Re: NokiaUSA : Buy one get one for FREE!
@geneven: you're in top form today, mate.
@andraeseus: I would be surprised if you can get a $500+ phone (never less than $400 even discounted) for FREE by buying a $299 item. If it sounds too good to be true, then it probably is. @Rwun: go for the Nokia, so you can tell us what kind of EOL-ed phone they send you in 14 days :D |
Re: NokiaUSA : Buy one get one for FREE!
You could also get a brand new Nokia n900 for $499 shipped free if you look around/
there's only two phones that qualify in the 299 limit and they are both around 350 |
Re: NokiaUSA : Buy one get one for FREE!
nokia are just trying to shift stock before nokia world after the summer break where they will announce the new line up of devices.
you always see lot of these promos over summer |
Re: NokiaUSA : Buy one get one for FREE!
@ysss lol I wish I could afford to be the guinea pig for that experiment, but I think I'll hold out for the N1. My mom needs the voice navi on the N1. She's not the best phone user...let alone smartphone user lol. Plus google made the maps on the android system so easy even my mom should be able to learn it....hopefully lol.

Re: NokiaUSA : Buy one get one for FREE!
@Rwun: heheh
I think this deal makes sense for someone who's already on the verge of buying an eligible nokia model and doesn't mind paying the MSRP for a chance to get a free phone (of any kind). |

Re: NokiaUSA : Buy one get one for FREE!
damn with those, it is almost too tempting :D even when I dont need any phones in the first place. luckily this is USA only (for now)
|
Re: NokiaUSA : Buy one get one for FREE!
I would get N97 for the free. N900 might not be suitable for the "father". My opinion only :P.
|
Re: NokiaUSA : Buy one get one for FREE!
I'd buy 2 N900s for the price of one. Nokia did not have N900s in stock; now the sale is over
and I just got an email which said that the N900s are available again. Nokia would not honor the deal now. Fishy fishy !!!!! |
Re: NokiaUSA : Buy one get one for FREE!
Did anybody else besides me buy a phone during this promotion and not received their free phone yet??

Re: NokiaUSA : Buy one get one for FREE!
I ordered a phone during this promotion and i have to yet to receive my free phone.
I called Nokia last week and they said it will take up to 30 days for them to ship the phone. |
Re: NokiaUSA : Buy one get one for FREE!
I would be very cautious making any purchasing decision based on a promotional offer of any type from Nokia. I have twice failed to receive rebates offered directly by Nokia on high end phones. In both cases I sent in all required materials (and photocopied them so I could prove it). Read these forums, a LOT of people failed to receive the $50 gift card offered by Nokia when the N900 went on sale. I've called the number on the rebate multiple times and they've had me resubmit my information multiple times and still nothing. Nokia & the company it hired to process the rebates should be prosecuted for fraud.

Re: NokiaUSA : Buy one get one for FREE!
Hello All i got my phones today....Yes i did say phones... it must have been a fluke but they sent me two N76 black.... now they will go on ebay....
|
Re: NokiaUSA : Buy one get one for FREE!
hmmmm how much would those go on ebay for? 100$ each? so basically if you ordered a phone @ 350$ thats with an extra effort actually 66% off at 150$! :) not such a bad deal(if you actually get them from Nokia)
|
Re: NokiaUSA : Buy one get one for FREE!
I just tried to get the $50 rebate that I am still within the 30 days to receive but the promo ended on June 30th and they won't honor the deal. They just apologized and said they would notify the rest of the team. I'm glad I got the phone and I still received a pretty good deal but its the principle.
