Please post the name of any app that does not work in the PR1.2 update here so these issues can be looked at.

The Pidgin plugin seems to be giving a bunch of people problems. Seeing as I don't give a **** about it, this is the best I can do

Some desktop background and themes that I've downloaded and used before doesn't look right on the new virtual keyboard. The Up arrow and the back arrow doesn't show. The keyboard looks flat black even when I selected the reflect theme. i also tried the marina theme and still gave the same problem with the keyboard.

does anyoe elses joiku spot work? after the update mine doesnt work. my laptop picks it up and connects but the internet doesnt work. could it be because i recently upgraded to win7 64 bit?

even if you have desktop contacts ?? and if you tap the button in ur 'conversations menu' "NEW instant message"..

because if i tap the new instant message button, it says that i dont have any contacts.. but if i tap the contactsbook button i can see the status of my contacts..

weird isnt it ?

ive tried everything.. un installing and reinstalling the app, tried even msn (haze). but even that didnt worked for me.. and i dont want to reflash my n900 again for the second time for an app -_-

I can confirm this issue as well. We need theme developers to make necessary changes :) Joppu - the author of Carbon and Array will make changes in upcoming week or two

anyone knows how to contact Marina theme developer ? :)

For some reason it can take a while for the status of contacts to appear. This has happened a few times to me (incl under previous firmware) and eventually the online contacts appear - anywhere up to 3-4 mins later..

having some problems too with pecan.
But only if i want to start an NEW IM. it says; no contacts :(

Known issue with Call Notify with PR1.2.

I uninstalled it and it made my phone work much better. Seemed to cause the phone to hang and go very slow.. The developer is working on making it compatible with 1.2

I think that the IM-instant message button only works with plugins, i did test it with skype chat echo123. Need to talk some friends to turn over at skype.
Does someone know if we can get a service like PingChat? and will it all work with different mobiles? iphone blackberry...

i dont know if this is the right place for this but,,,,,it sems like flash on most webbsites no longer works for me after pr 1.2 update

Why don't you use the themes and background and see it yourself. others are having problems with using themes and backgrounds.

Go use android if you don't like N900.

I hope you know that an-droid is a theme developed for N900 , its kinda orange-silverish looking which i dont like either ;)

but its nosa101 habit to suggest that theme to eveyone who has vkb issues so my advice just ignore him ;)

back to topic :)

brain party sometimes crashes for no reason..in PR 1.1.1 it never happened

The Russian phonetic keyboard layout no longer works. Hoping there can be a patch for it soon.

Also, this isn't exactly a problem with an app, but when you click ctrl + space it only switches the layout on virtual keyboard, but not on the physical... Kinda weird.

I've cleaned out a number of posts. Please keep this thread on-topic and constructive. Additionally, if you dislike the automated profanity filter, please put forth your argument against it in the appropriate thread or submit an enhancement request. Do not evade the filter.

I've spoken to the developer and the Marina theme will be updated shortly.

There is a fix on the following thread, download and overwrite the files in usr\share\themes\marina and reboot.

Uninstall extended call log and reinstall the version from extras-devel.

Good point and hopefully that is exactly what will happen but for now let's find out just what apps are not working then compile a list to see what is not working and take it from there but remember some apps will already have been fixed and some have fixes so i am hoping this will all come out in the wash so to speak.

If you are on US T-Mobile, it appears that they are blocking it. I spent several days working with Joiku tech support. Mine stopped working correctly after JoikuSpot upgrade to version 1.2 prior to release of PR 1.2. They even let me downgrade but the situation remained the same. Devices connect and browser on XP laptop connects to url but page is blank. Safari on my wifes iPod says connection lost.

as for Hellflyer, would you rather use a theme that hasn't been updated or use one that has? The marina theme hasn't been updated. I suggested one that has

I'm not entirely sure what happened, but after installing extra decoders support my Media Player was unable to read the contents of my MicroSD card. It would retrieve my playlists but songs would be marked as "Not available". It managed to play the files, though.

Don't know if for sure it was the fault of this package or something else, phone's been acting crazy ever since 1.2.

Makes me wonder how they are blocking it. You could try Mobile Hotspot to see if that works. I haven't tried JoikuSpot since I've upgraded to PR 1.2. I'll give it a shot sometime this week.

With Conversations pidgin plugin after 1.2 i am not able to see any yahoo id's in the list when i log in my yahoo account. When i click on New IM it says No Contacts Found, but when i log in MSn and rest the id's are visible but yahoo friends id's dont show.

I recorded two videos today and pressed "share via service", the media player immediately closed and the screen said "Internal Error, Application Media Player Closed" Attempted several more times, same result... I tried the same thing with a few mp4 videos not recorded on the n900 that I had imported, they did not crash the player and I was able to share to pixelpipe.
