Please have in mind, that it is still in beta-stage and not available to customers, yet.
It will be available as a free upgrade for Sygic Mobile Maps 9 customers.

SMM10: normal soon (it's nearly finished, testing and ironing out the bugs, prepare everything)

Aura is coming, too. Nokia soon. :D:D (I don't have my test version, yet.)

Do note that you will have to buy Aura. (and no I am not a spokesperson from Sygic)

BTW will the maps be updated? Noticed how some roads are missing, but then again so did Google so I guess it's been awhile.

yes, the upgrade is for both Ovi store users and Sygic online shop users. try to serve both at the same time.

and yes, of course you will have to pay for Aura. it is a totally different application, targeted more at social networking and not navigation.

edit: forgot: maps will be updated for free, but it is also possible to use smm9 maps.

I saw in the past that anyone who purchased mobile maps 9 will get
version 10 for free, is this still the case?

Also how will the update be delivered, will it be via the sygic repository setup or a download from the website? (or is it too soon for this information)

Looks great, cannot wait as mobile maps 9 is a great product already!

Will you guys a version for meego?
Even if nokia does release ovi maps for free there might be enough hardware manufactures that release meego phones/tablets that there will be a demand for it.

too early to talk about that, but take a guess. it was released for maemo 5 which does have a by far minor coverage than meego will have.

But please, please and please with sugar on top: tweak the application to stop the lag or minimize it. Sygic consistently lags behind the actual position on all platforms I have seen it on: Symbian, WinCE and Maemo.

No point in having great looking UIs or rendered maps if the main point of the application - tell you were you are accurately - is compromised.

...and for those having the temptation to say "works fine for me" rest assured that I have seen PLENTY of devices from my friends and not only before making this statement.

Yes, for Maemo it improves when you mod it, but it still hiccups/lags a bit.

In my opinion there is something up with the rendering algorithm code (across all platforms) that we are trying to compensate with the tweaks/mods.

Wouldn't it be better for Sygic's awareness to be raised and the chance to make changes to the rendering code to be made? ;)

Obviously there is a bit of rethorics here because it is too late for such type of changes to make to Mobile Maps 10 but Aura... maybe there is still hope... :)

And those who say "perfect" have to look a bit around (not elegant from me to talk about competitor names...) to see what perfect looks like.

With the mods, it minimizes the problem and makes it... usable. But it still lags.

...have to take a look with my external bluetooth (Holux) and see if it improves the accuracy in any way but as I said, the problem is not in the positioning but likely in the rendering

this is really strange, because for some it works and for others not.
for me it works perfectly without having to mod anything. no lags, nothing. but I don't have random reboots, dead pixels, a loose usb port or any other flaws either.
a friend of mine is experiencing lags all the time. it got way better after modding. also he had random reboots before pr1.1 and so on...

don't know why...

Looks promising. I really consider to switch away from my standalone navigator to sygic mobile maps 10 after it is released. Aura looks interesting as well.

i just wont tomtom on my n900. as have all the maps for it aldy. from tomtom devices to Iphone maps. but looks like i will have to go out and get sygic 10 when it comes out. :)

I read somewhere about TomTom on the Sharp Zaurus, ripped from a TomTom device (they're running on Linux).
So theoratically it should run on the NITs, too.
Maybe this would be a project for you?

could anyone please check if SMM10 shows up in the program manager now (Sygic repository).
Someone told me it is showing up now, but I haven't heard anything from Sygic.
Since I have that version already, I can't check..

yes, SMM9 have to be uninstalled first as far as I remember...
and can you tell if it is an update or a new program, I think it was a new program since the name changed, too...
