I was reading Overclock N900 thread and noticed a little text near his name (Banned)

not that I care too much , I'm just curious what he did so that we dont do the same thing :)

Problem is this Nokia controlled forum cannot hack the truth and that is the problem on here so be carefull what you say or they will jump on you !!!.

You should not allow a thread naming a person in the context it is from this forum as it is bound to bring critisism so i suggest it be deleted.

I've been putting out some statements that aren't supportive of Nokia recently (in a nicely-worded form, too) and I haven't been banned. Sure, I doubt they've been well received but I'm still being able to reply to you now, am I not?

Whatever I may think of Nokia and its policies, I've never seen serious censorship done by Nokia or on Nokia's behalf. For example, the Wayfinder "cracking" thread was going strong whilst the servers were still up.

OTOH, I certainly have seen changes in policy regarding leaks...

I think enough said about it, suffice to say i did not do anything at all to deserve a ban as i was actually talking about some heat protection on another thread and someone got the arse about it so is best left at that me thinks.

I don't get the *****ing about forum rules... this forum is one of the free-est (as in speech... and.. uh.. beer too) that I've been in. It has very lenient boundaries, as far as 'serious' forums are concerned.

AFAIK there is NO rules about badmouthing Nokia. Actually you see that EVERYDAY here... even though most of those are the result of people misunderstanding what the forum represent... and still no one get banned.

We are the maemo community, NOT Nokia corp.

There is no provocation. In the same way you are allowed to bad mouth Nokia, people are allowed to say "he needed a serious time-out". That is not an insult, it does not provoke injury.

Also, you are not the OP, so you don't get to ask the thread be closed. Even if you were, you need good reason for it to be closed.

Please also stop sprouting lies about moderators modifying your posts. Everyone can see when a post is modified (it actually says it down the bottom of a post, "Last modified by {nickname}, reason: {reason}", regardless if it's a mod or not). If you have problems, please address them with the moderator in question, or ask another moderator to bring it up. Build a case, but please, don't do it in public.

Find posts by user containing "lol", show posts.

"Surface" scan is a scan I did on the surface, the first 25 posts in the search, to see how many were in embedded quotes, how many were referrals, etc. For those with a few, I've investigated. For those with 20 or more, I skimmed the search window, so it's far from precise, rather the excuse rate is a percentage of what I found to be "excused" uses, such as quotes, referral to the word, tag, etc.

Percentage is LOLs x Excused x Number of posts (rounded). Silvermountain, e.g., has 1100 posts, not 1000.

As for who made the list, it's the people I saw above in this thread.
