Can't see conversations after Maemo 5 update
 

Okay, so I updated my phone to Maemo 5 today on my Nokia N900. After the phone rebooted I went into my conversations to send an SMS out to find there was no conversation history. I presumed the update had wiped all this data and wasn't too bothered to be honest. Anyway, I went to send a text, sent it but it didn't appear in the conversations box. It remained blank.

I got a text from someone else replying, so they are sending out, but if i don't click on the icon in the top left corner then I can't read the text message as their texts don't come up in the conversations either. So basically I'm sending and recieving but I can't go back and read them.

Also whenever I turn the phone off and back on all the texts sent since the previous reboot of the phone appear again. This is also the same for the call log, no history despite calls being made.

Confused! Any help appreciated.

Cheers mate, got all the relevant help. Do I need to use the Nokia PC suite to access the files I need to change or can I do it just as a mass storage device?

I don't think you need PC Suite. I never did it. Try contacting the guy who nade the fix

I would but PM's are disabled for my account, only signed up earlier today. I'm comfortable with the instructions, it's just knowing how to access the files. Hopefully he'll see this soon!

I had the same problem,also my calls history was gone, i had to reflash the emmc and now its fine again!!!

My history is intact. I can see the list of conversations in the initial widow. However, when I go to a particular conversation I cannot see the list of interactions. The upper ribbon menu appears and so does the lower emoticon, message, send line appears, but nothing in the middle on any coversations no matter if it is sms or msn.Can anyone help?

Also, I downloaded a program called glogarchive where I can see all the interaction. So, its on the phone somewhere.

i tried everything but the problem still persists.. am download the emmc file.. but i dont know how to flash it.. can someone please guide me.. thanks in advance

I just got my N900 back from the service center., Now I have this same problem. Conversations does not show the individual sms or IM conversations.

Does anyone have any suggestions??
