SSH Not Working
 

Since The Pr 1.2 Update I haven't Been Able To Connect To My N900 Via SSH. This is Quite An Annoying Issue For Me As It Makes Modding Themes And The Files In The Tablet Extremely easy.
I'm Running Windows 7 And Connected Through Lan. my Router Is A Netgear Dg834GT And I Used To Use Winscp To Connect To The N900.

I Hope You Can Help Me As I Really Wanted To Mod My Theme And Make It Feel Comfortable

my phone changes ip addresses by 1 number occasionally, set a new account up, same as the last time you did it, and double check the phones ip, think its: use xterm, ifconfig
got a feeling this is your problem too!

0.1 is the router? ping n900 from the pc and vice-versa?

and once the phone/tablet

I didin`t understand a thing.

any firewalls? Restart ssh daemon.

okay i cant ping the n900 from my pc as it says

Then check your firewall, check the settings of the router. Fix your LAN and then try again.

But It Used To Work Before So How Can My Firewall Settings Change by Themselves but I'll Check Anyway

I smell AP isolation :)

Use some software to scan the ports on the N900 from the PC (dunno if there is nmap for windows)

Doesn't really sound like the problem is with the N900. Try rebooting your router and trying again. Consider temporarily disabling any software firewall running on the PC.

I recon your N900 is almost certainly going to sleep..

I get that a lot since PR1.2..

try leaving the keyboard open or plugging into the charger to prevent it deep sleeping.. when it sleeps you won't be able to ping it.. mine wakes up every now and again to check my imap email..

Just tried pinging it and it timed out.. but I know it works as I logged in a while ago..
