Gmail <<The email Content appears all in One single line>>
 

Dear All,

Yesterday, i create new email ( Gmail ) in my N900 via email in setup. The send & receive are fast and fantastic EXCEPT for reading the emails. it appears all in one single Line.

How to view the mails in a normal view where is doesn't go all in one line & scrolling all to right?

Please Help!!!

Gmail works fine for me in modest, no one line messages.

No problem on my side neither. It look like a configuration problem on your device.

Hi All,

Microb doest open Standard Gmail with the chat in it.
It opens a mobile page with an option to switch to html page
But when u are in html page u can see the option "switch to standard" but when u select that it returns to the mobile page

is there any way i can open the standard page?

I could open it with chrome and firefox but ther are bit slow

tom, try:

http://mail.google.com/mail/?ui=2

it will open up the standard gmail interface. you will need to bookmark it or type it in every time you want to open gmail though.

No, I think it is more likely to be a problem with the way the email messages that you are looking at are formatted. Do all emails look the same way, even those from other people?

Some of them are normal & some are with this problem.

Okay, new rule: When you make a new post about something that is already discussed in another thread, assassins are dispatched to find you and execute you.

What you're getting is the mobile version of GMail. If you had said you were viewing GMail from the internet browser, rather than the email program on the device, I bet a decent portion of the readers of this thread could have helped you.

You even had the simplest answer given to you in this thread for your "configuration" question. When you go to gmail, instead of typing in whatever address you use, use "mail.google.com/mail/?ui=2". It should show normally. If you're not using the browser, or using a different one, to view your emails, that's something to specify.

First of all, before i wrote this thread, i searched for a topic with same problem but couldn't any.

Second, I have specified that, the Gmail i am facing problem with is, the email program on the device.

Third, i cant see how the link provided will solve my problem??

Ah. My bad then. I don't remember you saying it was on the device's email program. In that case, yes, my post was essentially useless to this discussion.
