Thanks for the advice. but that seems way to confusing haha my laptop with xp went down and now I only have the hp touchsmart with 64 bit. not too sure how to do what you are recommending.. I def figured it would be possible by now:(... well easily possible

It confuses me reading all these post that flashes doesnt work on 64bit 7, i swear on my mothers life that i have never had to use 32bit or VMware to flash my phone i have 64bit windows 7 with flasher istalled and have used to on many occations to flash it. What is everyone talking about?

I tried with it about 3 months ago and it would never pick it up. only look for suitable device!!.. I dont think i could download the n900 usb driver!

I've used linux live cd + usb drive with flasher installation file plus images to be flashed.

I use Win7 home premium x64 with winXP in a VirtualPc to flash my N900 workes fine and fast just a few clicks and a new Os running on the N900 ;)

i have windows 7 64bit and i tried a few times to flash my n900, it would always get stuck halfway through... i eventually gave up and used a friends computer...

A much easier way is to DISABLE driver signing in Windows 7. I have Windows 7 64-bit and I couldn't do a flash until I disabled the driver signing. EASY and SIMPLE!

Had some problems flashing my 900 on windows 7 using maemo flasher 3.5. Is there a way around it or do you people recommend using something like XP thanks in advance cheers |
