iphone 4 Camera VS. N900 Camera
I've seen the video quality of the iphone 4 on youtube, it was very smooth and sharp. The quality of the video is 720p HD at 30fps as well. Higher resolution and higher frame rate! wtf! Common Nokia!
I know that our N900 can achieve the HD resolution too, but due to Nokia decision not to add it in because of some memory issues. But if there is a way to boosting to 720p recording at 30fps then it's going to a godsend. Both 5mpx but i've heard that the lense sensor on the iphone is the size of a digital camera. Can anyone here confirm? Iphone can play HD o.o N900 can't!!! by default! Bring me the Linux power. |
Re: iphone 4 Camera VS. N900 Camera
N900 was released in 2009, iPhone 4 in 2010. You should expect different capabilities.
If you want 720p video, wait for N8. |
Re: iphone 4 Camera VS. N900 Camera
Do note that Apple opted for a 5 megapixel camera with improved optics & sensors in 2010, as opposed to just one with higher resolution when there are phones with 10-12 megapixel cameras nowadays.

Re: iphone 4 Camera VS. N900 Camera
I don't really care, the N900's camera is great, so is the iPhone's (although I've heard it overdoes the post processing). I find it surprising that you aren't angry at all the other phones that have far superior cameras to both the N900 and the iPhone, why should we compare it to the iPhone exclusively? It's a feature phone, for god sakes.

The sensors on these cameras are tiny, and the lenses are fixed. Just get a HD digital video camera, and be done with it.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Mx2WzVmcVTs Take a look at the video. Some what I felt like iiphone got manual focusing. The video switches between long distant to close distant shot. Why Can't N900 do this with built in function? Also PAUSE is a must. |
Re: iphone 4 Camera VS. N900 Camera
Here you go take a look at the snap shot of iphone 4 camera. Looks sharp and clear. I don't know what to say..

Re: iphone 4 Camera VS. N900 Camera
Haven't really tested it out since i'm never in a position where i need to take a picture. Quality comes most from knowledge how to take a picture, lightning, settings and such not from how big the image size is but best would be to get raw image from the camera.

@antezz. I checked the wiki and also did a search on the forum, but was not able to locate the information about the configuration file(ie. how to enable and etc). When you have a chance, would you please provide a link.

Re: iphone 4 Camera VS. N900 Camera
A work colleague just upgraded from iphone to iphone 4.
When in camera mode, if you point it at something relatively light in color, lets say white wall, there is definitely a noticeable blue-ish tinge right in the middle of the screen which then appears in the photos taken. Anyone else confirm this ? |
