[NEWS] Frash: Flash 10 ported from Android to iPad

Someone made a pretty interesting project -- ported flash from android to iOS4. For that they used jailbroken iPad(with Spirit). The project is available on github - http://github.com/comex/frash . The more detailed news are here - http://www.redmondpie.com/flash-on-apple-ipad-video/ with video demo. I hope it will help maybe to get the flash 10 on maemo5 as well

Was thinking on those terms. Tried using an Android emulator and accessed the Android market place to download flash files.. but no go.

Can some android owner donate the libflash files to the maemo community?

The file is libflashplayer.so

Flash ported to iPad?!

Ok so I've read the news that some guys ported flash to iPad using vulnerability in Flash Lite. Cant we use the same for Maemo? I know we have flash 9 NOT lite version but I think it also has same security problems. So what do you think guys? Is it possible to upgrade our version to 10? or even 10.1 ?

You can easily get the libflashplayer.so from Android by downloading the .apk file and extracting it with zip.

I thought just moving the libflashplayer.so from Android might work...I'd try it myself if I had access to it!

Perhaps Apple is right...flash slow down web browser, that's why you don't see Abobe porting it to Maemo N900. They probably tested and see that it isn't going to work and scratch it.

It wouldn't work as Android is very different from general Linux systems. But MeeGo version might work with Maemo if it gets released.

"Frash" 10.1 (open source) made for the iPad.. A N900 port?

geek.com has run an article about open source Flash (Frash) being available for the ipad.

http://www.geek.com/articles/mobile/...-ipad-2010075/

Since this is open sourced (http://github.com/comex/frash), can anyone have this converted to N900? Since Nokia and Adobe both have declined to update so far (or have not confirmed anything)..
