Hi. I have N900 with windows mobile . I want flash it and install maemo but when i am on this site http://tablets-dev.nokia.com/nokia_N900.php all the time i write bad IMEI. I try this on the nokia and by *#06#. Nothing works. There is written "Product ID not valid. Please re-enter the 15-digit IMEI code." Help me :)

With windows mobile? Did you buy some super-cheap fake N900 from china?

If you have N900 with windows mobile you have a counterfeit phone...

If it really is windows mobile, then you can enjoy the software available for it.(GPS, Games, Office tools, etc) If not a secret, for how much did you buy it ?

About 100$ . I can sell it if you want :) I love linux. How can I check if it realy windows ? Could you give me a link for applications?

Wow, very strange, I know that it was fakes N900 with Symbian and cheap hardware but I didn't know that it were many differents fakes.
Can you take and upload pictures ?

Yes I can take the pictures and sent to PC by cable and bluetooth. I bought on polish site but this sale is already deleted. Sale is deleted by maybe 2 weeks from end .

Nope. you need genuine hw for it, not some windows mobile lookalike ui with who knows what under the hood.

Nah, I love my linux n900 :) I just got rid of HP Ipaq recently. The only sure way to check is to try to sync it with Active sync on windows. Or give us couple of screenshots or photos of the screens. I do know some websites with free and pirated software, but it's not in english.


Ooh you can go to opera.com or google mobile and try to download from there. Or check if you have mobile office on your device. (start > mobile office > word/excel/powerpoint)

nope,it's not WM, i think you have got urself a "chinese version" n900. i bet you paid around 100 bucks for that

that sucks, the hardware looks identical, but the operating system and screen looks totally wrong. resolution is pretty low.

cameras pants too. theres no way youl get an n900 that cheap. sell it and get a real one, you wont regret it

I bet the Ovi store on that phone has more apps lol.
