Unfortunately there are no plans to develop Fast Connect for Maemo. There are tentative plans for a MeeGo version in the future but there currently is no estimate on when this will be available.

why would one want it? what if your network had a poor reception or was down but you were in a cloud hotspot area? then you would want it. am with vodafone who constantly have problems with the mast in certain places i go. the cloud wifi is a great backup.

the cloud is the biggest uk hotspot wifi....come on now....chances are pretty slim that no one knows about it? are you kidding me?

OK, so it's an app that uses your GPS to tell you where your nearest The Cloud wifi hotspot is.
Talk about getting blood out of a stone.

Someone could write a similar app for maemo/meego with The Cloud's free list of hotspots, cross-referencing it with the recently-opened postcode lookup database.

The Cloud offers Wi-Fi at train stations, airports, hotels, venues and in city centres weatherspoons chains of pubs, macdonalds etc....


appologies to anyone who has not heard of this service. it is actually a worldwide service and not just europe.
