I think it's a goodbye.

Hey guys. After 9months with my device I have to say i'm fed up with waiting.

I was patient... and then a bit more patient, and again. Battery life, proximity sensor, loosing video quality are just a few issues I encountered.
And it doesnt seem like they're going away anywhere soon either.

I was patient... I even started to carry a charger in my pocket with me 'just in case' and damn i used it a lot.
Good shout out to the community, with irc and forums it was veeery helpful.

Thank you very much, and live long and prosper :)

Where art will thou go? Alas we pray not it be the oh mighty Apple.
Fear not fellow friends, thou shall leave in an air of despair, but soon see the foolishness of their ways.

:)

edit: Give you 150quid for it?

These threads should be locked instantly unless the OP has made some kind of worthy community contribution he should be recognised for...

I don't see why they should be locked instantly. They should be submitted to me and if I think they should be locked, they should be. But your opinion doesn't count.

I think I did. I made bloomberg work on n900 which for many people has been a milestone.

Well I dont know where I will go. I was trying to find out today! Went to apple store, and to be honest, i like the iphone. Im not a fan of the screen and not being able to use it with my nail (i've got veeery sweaty hands and it's uncomfortable to use the screen with my finger) ... And then BB... Where I cant watch my Ted Talks, and well lack of Bloomberg is a bummer. And I never considered any google phone ... So yeah, don't know where I'm gonna go, really. I will continue using n900 until i find a phone that suits my needs more. But I'll stop upgrading my bloomberg etc... That was the goodbye about really.

I use an angle where the edge of my fingernail meets the start of my flesh. Gives it a sort of pseudo-resistive feel. Its a Windows Mobile thing hangup... one of very few.

Failing that this extendable stylus that fits in your headphone port is ok:

But the really rounded and kind of fat styli are best:

The OP has very fair comment and should be respected for his honesty, what is happening on here to freedom of speech huh !.

Re: I think it's a goodbye.

one of the best things about n900 is the community around it, the help, support, ingenuinity and teamwork, people really feel part of this community, and if they wish to say farewell then this only proves the point. i freakin loved my n95 but i never felt the urge to tell the world as a whole when i moved on, i may yet do when i leave n900. so for all the people sick of seeing goodbye posts - dont bloody read them! really, who forced you to click the thread, scroll, read and reply? dont tell me the thread title took you by suprise! i can see the cathartic value in the OP's post, where's the merit in yours?

Re: I think it's a goodbye.

some folks leave, some join. it's how the world works. it's a shame nokia won't publicize the N900 sales. i bet they're still growing.

best of luck to the OP

Re: I think it's a goodbye.

I've been wondering if I should make one of these myself... been thinking of heading off from here for a while... hmm.

There's all kinds of ways people say goodbye. And in this thread, I'll say take care, good luck wherever else you land.

Just a thought,
will there be any action or reaction from Nokia if tomorrow this communiyy is left with only 2 members.
and by tomorrow i mean immediate tomorrow all members deleting their account.

I agree with him. Do I have enough posts and thankses?

are opinions really the better the more posts and thankses you have?

e: I must still give 10 points out of 10. The best last words I've seen in this forum (that I remember at least)

I think anyone who replies to this topic 'to bring it back up for discussion' is, by default, tolerating its existence (and attention grabbing ability).

ps: yes, I do.

Clearly that is not the case.
