Videos taken by n900 wont play?

1 Attachment(s)
Hi all,

I've taken a few videos on my n900, and for the first time they dont play. I've copied them to my computer, and windows media player wont play them. Quicktime plays them, audio is fine, video remains black. Finally, I busted out the big guns with divx, and am still having issues. I took a screenshot, as I knew someone here might know whats going on...

attached is how divx was complaining... if i hit ignore 3-4 times, it will finally play it...

Are these files corrupted? Did I download a virus while looking for a psx rom?

your n900 drives (mass storage, micro SD) that you store your captured vidz may have problems.

i think his cam drivers are corrupted cause his desktop has problems playing them too.
driver problems can happen after fcam install...
so did you downloaded fcam??

no sir. no fcam. but AFTER taking these videos I did install a program, that i think is in testing, that allows video focus (And all turning off the red light, that i havent figured out how to do)...

im afraid my built in flash might be corrupted... what do i do from here to figure out whats wrong?

i just fix my microSd via win7 pc earlier; the reason, camera crashes after processing pictures, videos wont play or be recognized by any computer.

my camera settings are set to save all processed filed on the sd card. before i fixed the SD card, i always get a prompt or "error:, "file corrupted" or "file is read only" when i open or edit a file from the sd card.

i uninstalled that auto focus app, took a new video, and it opened fine...

Im not sure you understood what I said above. These videos that im having a hard time opening, they were recorded before I installed this app...

Maybe my memory is corrupted? yesterday and today, ive noticed that computers that normally do, are NOT displaying a nokia n900 little photo next to the drive as it pops up on the computer screen... does that make sense? it shows the same icon as my memory card...

another thought, maybe this all started after changing my 'devices name' when in the bluetooth menu... maybe?

yes, i uninstalled, and rebooted...

I dont understand why any of these would change the outcome when I've copied the file to the computer, and am attempting to view it from there...
