unable to remove quick-launch [help requested]
 

When attempting to remove quick launch, I receive the following error:

(Reading database ... 32778 files and directories currently installed.)

Edit /var/lib/dpkg/info/quick-launch.prerm and comment out all lines.

Beacuse of I am not able to uninstall I am getting on every install or update of a different application "dpkg error".

Try a # in front of the the lines instead. That worked for me.

I tried the # as well but in vain. I am still not able to uninstall quick-launch, very weird

I have the same problem. I could not even find any file with a "prem" extension in that directory. When I tried to remove the program, many times, the status reads "broken but updateable" Please help.:(

Same problem here, cannot remove or update it with appmanager or apt-get.
Also, appmanager shows 0kt update that has the same version with already installed

I got lucky. I used appmanager to search for updates and quick-launch popped up, then I just updated it and the problem was gone.

i have the same issue, but with php5-common. there is not ".prerm" just

.conffiles
.list
.md5sums
.postrm

i cant neither remove, upgrade or reinstall

updating doesnt work either
