Increasing negativity?
Has anyone noticed the overall increasing negativity of these forums? I feel like the frustration that people have with Nokia has caused issues in regards to people taking out that anger on others on the forums. Its really not cool at all and I feel like the fact that new rules are being put in effect further validates this point. :(

Re: Increasing negativity?
Your post is very true. I think people feel a bit left out in the dark. Either that or the competitors of nokia are hiring trolls ;)

i think its getting a lot more frendly and helpfull on this forum lately, and the new rules (i havent read yet) will hopefully make everyone respect eachothers opinions a bit better |

Re: Increasing negativity?
For every brand name that has ever been stamped on a 'mobile telephone' there have been fierce complaints or rose colored fanboy love.
I see either extreme as a bit of a personality disorder since these outliers are mostly irrational unless you happen to be on their side. I've never yet found a mobile phone or tablet that is 'perfect' - there has always been a feature or two missing that I've wished to see, or the OS is a little too locked up, or any of a million different minor issues. Some people latch on to their baggage and don't know how to let go. I like maemo, it's a pretty nice operating system, I like my N900. The 'ranting' doesn't actually bother me, what troubles me is that people can't search out and find previous rants that are identical to their own first, so we get a string of similar threads all adding noise to some very good signal. |
Re: Increasing negativity?
Most of the above have only been here for a few months. Stay here for a few years and you'll see things go in cycles. Right now, negative. MeeGo comes out, initially negative, then positive... back to negative.

Just an example how a few loud voices could twist the perception of the group they feel they represent. ;) |
Re: Increasing negativity?
Gerbick is right. The last time things were negative I sank into a 6 month drunken state and was later told I robbed 3 convenience stores and killed 7 random people. SEVEN PEOPLE!!! I only remember FOUR OF THEM!
So this negative cycle is nothing. Just wait until Al Queda gets knowledge of the whole Meego situation. You'll have terror bombings all over the place, starting in the OS2008 forum. I think abill_uk is a prophet for the end. |

Being your number 5 whilst on holiday, at least I have an explanation now for why you stole my iPhone and forced me to buy an n900 which was just the $30 cheaper that I was lacking. Being drunk is never an excuse, however, after feeling so left in the dark by Nokia I might actually go out and do the same! Blaming you of course. |
