Accessory idea: Ears for listening
I found out that if i cup my hands on each side (with palms up) i get much more sound, and the sound seems louder from the backside (without my hands); my idea is to have some cup/parabolical shaped attachments to direct the sound towards the user like how i can do with my hands. This might possibly even be built with one of those homemade rapid protyping machines (might involve some trial and error to get the sound to bounce just right)

My idea would improve not only the audio reception, but it'll enhance the screen too:

For those who think it's mean to make fun of the OP's suggestion. See
this link for what happened to me when I suggested a GPS compass. The one that embarrassed me was the suggestion involving Elmer's glue. Unfortunately, some of the illustrations disappeared since 2007. |

This is why I still think the N800's basic design is still far better than the newer units where Nokia moved the speakers to the side/rear. :(

Re: Accessory idea: Ears for listening
I don't mean putting my hands on my ears, i mean on the N900 itself, do i need to make a drawing?

Re: Accessory idea: Ears for listening
it wouldn't be shaped like hands, it would be like adding Mickey ears to your N900, smooth and shiny and retro-futuristic looking, and there could be a stand variation, it has flat bottom and keeps the screen and reflectors angled at a comfortable angle when you place it on a desk (or airplane lunchtray)
