Re: Question about the Overclocking.
No, there's no problem overclocking Maemo. Just follow the instructions for overclocking.

Re: Question about the Overclocking.
i overclocked my maemo to 930mhz and it went back to 600mhz after installing nitdroid.
i overclocked it again and it went back to 930mhz. but after using nitdroid and booting back to maemo, it goes back down to 600mhz max. since there is no cellular signal and i cant find hd games in the market for nitdroid, i just uninstalled it for now. |

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RiOBixq9qpU then to my dismay, i cannot find it in the android market. i was even willing to buy the game for 12$ (was it?) jut to have it in my n900. i later then found out that there are apps and games that genuine android devices only can access. i assume asphalt 5 was one of them. i was just wondering how they got theirs? |
Re: Question about the Overclocking.
hey guys. i was wondering; what is the default speed for the N900? and how can i change it back to the default speed after installing the latest Nitdroid? i want to change it to the default speed; from maximum to idle. in other words, i want it as if it was out-of-the-box speed.

Re: Question about the Overclocking.
Armand360 if you just installed NITdroid with multiboot. That changed no speeds on the normal Maemo 5 Kernel...

Re: Question about the Overclocking.
yeah, i used the Nitdroid installer. i don't really like the idea of over clocking my N900, so that why i thought of changing it back. i read that the installer automatically clocks the N900 to 700mhz (or was it 750mhz). so the installer did not overclock my phone?

Re: Question about the Overclocking.
If you boot NITdroid then the fone is overclocked to MAX of 700MHz, but once you boot back to Normal kernel then nothing is overclocked.

Re: Question about the Overclocking.
ohh so if i boot back to Maemo, it won't be overclocked? it only overclocks when i boot Nitdroid? i'm very new to this field; as new as to not know what kernels are! so i apologize in advance for my incompetence :)

so i guess my warranty is blown away??? |
Re: Question about the Overclocking.
Yes Armand360, if you boot back to Maemo(Kernel) then nothing is overclocked!
@atilla I dont think your warranty is gone, coz how are they gonna know you overclocked it.. If it isnt overclocked when you send it in for repairs/whatever. Then i dont think the will notice it.. I had my N900 for 3 months now and i started overclocking it about a month ago lol |
Re: Question about the Overclocking.
thank you for your help louispires! now i feel much more better knowing that my N900 isn't overclocked. i'm planning on keeping this phone for a while, so i wouldn't want to fry my processor!
