I just install the google pinyin, go into settings to enable it, and restart.
Should work!

Search pinyin in the application manager it should be one of the four options. You might need to add extra-devel to your repo though.

You need to specify more details. How are you installing the app? (xterm? App Manager? Fapman? etc). Exactly what error do you get? Copy/paste the log or the output.

Try baidu for "mscim-pinyin snnn" and click the first link appears.

sory that, the scim google pinyin was install from App Manager, after uninstall it i cant' get back SCIM from app Manager any more and my n900 now cannot type any chines words.

It's a Chinese input method developed by Google on top of Linux's scim (Smart Common Input Method). ;)

I suggest you won't install mscim-pinyin. Because it may cause n900 system broken and n900 would always show internal error.You had better install google pinyin in application manager
